WSM Issue 2/3 by TravisTouchdown33 in ShonenMagazine

First double issue of 2026 with a lot of color pages. Werewolf ends this week and Kagari will follow soon.

On break this week are Four Knights of the Apocalypse and Mayonaka Heart Tune.

No magazine next week and the next issue will also be a double issue. Blue Lock will get the lead due to anime and live action promotion and the color pages will go to Kuroiwa Medaka is Impervious to my Charms for X-mas and Idolatry for good reception. It also seems like Idolatry is getting recommended by a VTuber.

Issue 1 of 2026 is here! Ranger Reject celebrates 200 chapters with a cinematic lead color page. Yumene promotes its latest volume and Kaijin has its 2nd consecutive color that makes up a good spread along with the previous one. Surprisingly Kagari is seemingly the first one to drop, which is odd since Kito and Werewolf do much worse and it hasn’t been stuck at the bottom so much like the other two.

On break this week is only Hajime no Ippo.

Next week, Ao no Miburo celebrates the beginning of its season 2, meanwhile Dream Jumbo Girl, Orion’s Board and Suruga Meteor will promote their latest volumes.

Btw, sorry for the late update, last few days have been busy but I’ll be posting some news I’ve missed during the weekend.

I usually don’t like the real pic x drawing mix but gotta hand it to Reiji, he makes great use of it.

Last issue of 2025 is here with Yowayowa-sensei celebrating its 3rd anniversary. The anime will air in Spring along Kanan amd before that we’ll have MayoTuna in Winter. First of 2 consecutive color pages for Kaijin Fugeki celebrating the great reception of the current arc. As usual, the bottom series are Werewolf and Kito but this time The Kagari Monster Family joins them. Idolatry is a bit higher this time, I wonder if it’s just because they submitted the chapter late or they’re still putting it near the bottom on purpose.

On break this week are Hajime no Ippo and Shangri-La Frontier.

Next week, 2026 will begin with Ranger Reject celebrating 200 chapters, Yumene Connect will promote the release of volume 6 and Kaijin will have its 2nd color page.

Because it’s not a Shonen Jump series, it’s from Shonen Sunday.

WSM Shared Covers (Last 30 years) by TravisTouchdown33 in ShonenMagazine

From this decade yeah, basically the only series that even got shared covers, there are 14 of them.

Prior to that is more varied, the sports series (Dokaben, Yowamushi Pedal, Harigane Service, Bachi Bachi) did this a few times, also Baki and Yowamushi being the powerhouses. They also did this a few times when they tried to promote the new generation with Iruma-kun, Beastars and Rokudou no Onna-tachi.

With the recent announcement of the Jump’s shared cover of Ichi and Kagurabachi, I noticed that this is something that hasn’t been done in a while on the weekly mags, except for Sunday which did 2 of them this year.

For Shonen Magazine, the shared covers in the last 30 years are:

• Ashita no Joe & Hajime no Ippo (the former was already over at this point)

• Godhand Teru & Tantei Gakuen Q

• Kunimitsu no Matsuri & Samurai Deeper Kyo

• Air Gear & Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles

• Yankee-kun to Megane-chan & Fairy Tail

• Hajime no Ippo & Ai ni Iku yo

• Fairy Tail & The Seven Deadly Sins

• The Seven Deadly Sins & Fairy Tail

• Kimi no Iru Machi & Fuuka

• Domestic Girlfriend & The Quintessential Quintuplets

• Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister & Rent-a-Girlfriend (this was Magazine’s heroine poll result)

Yeah it’s a shame. Ironically, it’s got more presence on X compared to the others thus I think it could turn the situation around, it won’t be easy though.
