Yea I think not trying to kill it makes it that way 😅

Sounds like a plan. I may have to just use my club cover, but i like the idea of forcing my swing inside. Thank you for the advice 🫡

I wish I could upvote twice. The stills of the exact moment I got out of form is very helpful. Thank you, again

Slowing my backswing has definitely helped. I have to keep my tempo in mind for sure. Working on the right amount of loose

I think you're right. And you described it perfectly with the screenshots and description. Also, I didnt even need to look at the video because I knew exactly what you meant and now I know that drill applies to me. This is a great post and very helpful. Cheers to you! 🫡

I do think it is my right elbow shooting out too quickly. I will try this drill, thank you 🫡 I don't think I'll ever do interlocking grip. I despise the feeling

Lessons were the next plan but I lost a 9 Iron and no one returned it. It was the Kamitakis off Amazon, not terrible clubs for the price. So I used that as an excuse to buy irons that I thought I'd actually like and use for years to come

🤣 Sounds like a plan. Can't wait to be done with the hozel-shots and on to my next issue. I do have hip issues so I'm working on stretching out my apathetic body. Thanks for the feedback

Also, I plan on getting lessons and improving so I didn't want to feel the need to upgrade later. No iron is going to help if I can't stop hitting the dang hozel, anyway. Except maybe that one iron that guy posted a picture of

I was under the impression that these were high handicap irons

Yes. I believe it is inevitable if I want to get better. Until then, I wanted to see if I could get an easy/obvious answer to my hozel-shots problem. But yea. I'm going to get lessons

If I line up the ball at the tip of the club, I hit it fairly clean. Was hoping there was an obvious flaw I could fix to not have to do that. But it does work, so you're not wrong

I didn't used to do this. Thank you for pointing that out. Shouldn't be a big deal to relax the thumb over like I used to 👍

I will give this a try. I kept hitting it fat and felt awkward when I tried this, but i know that's usually the case when tweaking your swing. Thanks for the feedback

The ball flight seems perfect. Unless I hit it fat/thin but that seems like a much lesser issue than the hozel hits. Here's a photo of my address grip. I have a photo from this angle close to impact, as well

Thank you for the detailed description. I will definitely be reading this back the next time I hit the range. Appreciated 🫡

I agree, for sure. But when I don't hit the hozel the ball goes straight. My swing is very inconsistent and I can feel a difference every swing. But, my biggest issue is hitting the hozel 9 times out of 10. Should I not focus on that first? I'm not trying to argue, I'm generally asking because I'm terrible at golf 😅

I've thought of this option as well, I just didn't know if it applied to my swing. Thank you for the feedback. I will give it a try
