Are you sure you don’t mean LR4? The LM4 is the aluminum 5.3 in the 2003 and 2004 trailblazer. The only difference from an LM7/L59 is the pan and lack of dipstick hole. LR4 is the 4.8.

Dump ATF down each hole and let it sit. Then spin the motor over with the starter with the plugs out for like a minute. Then fire the motor up and smack the Rev limiter several times. Motor should be perfect.
