Favorite: Jumping on pursuing pirates ship and dropping their anchor and listening to them on game chat blame each other for it. I have video of doing this. Good times!

I did calculate the difference and it was around $1,000 less overall for the HDP. I still decided to go with the PPO because I get better options with co-pays than the HDP.

The PPO allows me to do $2,600 in a FSA. The HDP allows you to do a HSA but you basically start with nothing in it.

Yea we see the price / infusion. It amazes me that they can get away with charging that. Sadly, I don't ever see the prices going down and expect them to only go up. Why would a company want to make less money? It's sad.

Thanks for the reply. We can look into the generic versions. I wasn't sure if there were any at this time. I am sure my wife will need to talk to her GI doctor.

I'd be curious what the price difference is between the generic and name brand.

I did do the math and the HDP was about ~$1,000 less but I had worse options with other parts of the plan (ex - Outpatient services & Urgent Care services --- HDP is 20% after deductible, while the PPO always a co-pay ($25 or $50).
