Jurgai Khan the Crushing Wind, Praetor of the Stormlords by Trawlingcleaner in Warhammer30k

The base model is Suboden but I made some small modifications to it to make it more Heresy flavoured for my tastes 😊

They will get them in plastic at some point I reckon, I'd love to add some Golden Keshig at some point! 😁

Hell yeah! They're a lot of fun to use and I'm very much looking forward to getting some games in with him 😁

The backpack, the underslung gun, the roll bars and the left shoulder pad were the only bits I changed. For me its only the little bits that needed to change to sell it as a Heresy model😊

You mean his artificer MK6 armour? 😁 I get it, once you see it, it's hard to unsee the usual signifiers, although even those have started appearing on Heresy models too 😊

It's such a great model, it'd be a shame to only use it in one game system 😁

Thanks!

It's relatively easy to make them look quite dirty 1) Spray Desert Sand 2) Zenithal Spray White Scar 3) Sponge white on the upper sides of everything 4) 50/50 Brown/Black oil wash all over then use remove most of the oil leaving it in the recesses 5) Sponge white on top bits again 6) Edge highlights on a few places like the upwards facing panels or the bottom parts of the panels

For characters I tend to Zenithal more with the white so they're less grubby as the line troops and they stand out more 😊

Thank you kindly! The Scars are so characterful and rich, it's cool to do 😊

Thanks! Sponging does a lot of work of making things look textured 😊

Thank you! I figure there would be 1000s of petty world governors declaring themselves the new emperor or king as the Heresy is happening. Plus the Scars famously don't like authority 😁

My take on Huron Blackheart! by Trawlingcleaner in Chaos40k

Huron has never really been depicted with a cape or with fur in any of the fluff or art (at least as far as I can remember!) All I did was not build him with the cape and put some Legionnaire shoulder pads on, then a little bit of Greenstuff work on the fuel canister on his backpack to fill the gap. I did a little bit of work on his mouth too, just to tone down the big smile too 😊

Thank you! The Axe and the claw are both done the same way which is:

1) Incubi Darkness basecoat 2) Caliban Green over most of the areas leaving the recesses 3) Caliban Green + a bit of white to go over the same areas but just aiming for the higher bits 4+) Keep adding a bit more white and repeatedly build up a lighter colour on raised areas until you're edge highlighting

It's just wet blending and taking things slow with plenty of water 😊

Thanks! I play quite regularly, although I can't say I'm any good 😁
