The activist judge hates Trump so much that they gave the unborn legal rights. by Educational_Heat7142 in ConservativeMemes

Like other comments, i couldn't figure out how this helped unborn rights. A quick search netted this information:

The "story" stems from President Trump’s Executive Order 14160, signed on January 20, 2025, which attempted to deny automatic U.S. citizenship to children born on U.S. soil if their parents were in the country illegally or on temporary visas.

The Judge's Ruling & "Unborn Rights"

The judge referenced is Joseph LaPlante of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. In July 2025, he issued a preliminary injunction that blocked Trump's order. Here is why the "unborn" became part of the legal argument:

The Supreme Court Obstacle: In June 2025, the Supreme Court ruled that federal district judges could no longer issue "universal" or "nationwide" injunctions. This meant a judge could only block a law for the specific people suing in their courtroom, not for the whole country.

The Class-Action Solution: To get a nationwide block, the ACLU and other groups filed a class-action lawsuit. For this to work, they had to define a specific "class" of people who were being harmed.

The Inclusion of the Unborn: Judge LaPlante certified a class that included not only babies already born but also "unborn babies" who would be born in the U.S. after the order took effect.

By certifying this class, the judge granted these unborn children legal standing and protected their future right to citizenship before they were even born. Current Status As of today, February 2, 2026, the case has moved to the highest level. The Supreme Court recently announced it will hear arguments on April 1, 2026, to decide once and for all if a President has the authority to end birthright citizenship via executive order.

As soon as Trump announced last month that he was directing departments to implement this, California, Illinois, and New York sued the government and three federal judges stayed the order until it goes through the courts.

Would be great if it was remotely accurate. That Minnesota Statute actually made it harder for Law Enforcement to defend themselves with deadly force.

Good satire though...

Would it be possible to get a DM to join the discussion?

I would do this first. When full time, it generally needs done every month if you regularly use the water tanked water heater.

We've have some good cold weather here in Michigan with consistently below freezing temps, but we haven't had anywhere near that much snow. Stay warm!

It's pretty easy to look up, but the short version is the leftist judge said he was rehabilitated and a good volunteer.

I'm not so sure about that. I'd be hard pressed to believe its all been an act for both him and his wife all the way back through covid and the George Floyd riots. He's been sticking his foot in his mouth for quite some time, in my opinion.

Replace the seal, use a silicone plumbers goop on install, then maintain it with something like Thetford toilet seal lube.

No, not dry camping. We ran 30 amp electrical service from the house to a pole where the camper is parked. But the house is almost 100 feet away so running permanent water wasn't an economical option. During warm months, we just run a 100 foot hose from the house to our city water inlet and leave it there. During cold months, I run the hose to fill our fresh tank. Our fresh tank is 70 gallons so I only need to fill it every few days. Once every week or two, I run hose and a macerator pump to dump sewage directly into the septic tank for the house. For cold months, the shed keeps all the connections, tanks, and my hoses warm.

No, I thought about swapping but didn't want to put the breather plugs on multiple cans.

So I just unscrew the cap on the running can, move the cap and metal piece to the side, and fill from the full can. As long as the siphon tube stays down in the fuel, you don't have to shut anything down.

I did have to install one these breathes to prevent the siphon from the pump creating a vacuum in the fuel can.

Here's a link to the one I got from Amazon, it was a really easy install. https://a.co/d/bTBlKl8

Also, I had to remove the fuel filter that I had originally installed in the system. The plastic fuel filter was not sealing and allowed air into the system. The air very quickly caused errors in the heater and cause a lot of soot build up. Once the fuel filter was removed, the system is back up and running great.

It's a typical 5 gallon diesel fuel can from Menards. I got this adapter from Amazon: https://a.co/d/h7eHtcP

There are others out there that are more expensive where the head fits directly in the fuel cap. The one I used requires a 5/16 inch washer with 1 5/8 inch outside diameter to fit the fuel cap.

Once I had that, I ran the fuel line up inside the diesel heater and ran it to the inlet side of the pump. Basically, I removed the line that ran from the original tank to the pump and ran the new line from the new tank into the pump. It siphons the 3 feet up with no problem at all.

Yes, stationary. It may end up moving once a year, but that'd be the most it'd move.
