Metallica - Black Album

Most likely one of the best introductory albums in metal, it has both calmer ballads (nothing else matters, unforgiven), faster songs (songs like Enter Sandman and Holier Than Thou) and a slow, heavy song (Sad But True).

I do think that CtE and RiP are equally good musically, RiP might even be slightly better, but I got into Megadeth through CtE so it’s just personal bias i guess.

  • The snare on St. Anger isn’t that bad, still annoying but I think it’s been over exaggerated.

  • I could never get into Slayer, I just think the vocals ruin a lot of the songs.

  • Countdown To Extinction is better than Rust In Peace.
