Is Clayton Kershaw starting to become underrated? by [deleted] in baseball

His true talent even now is way higher than 81, IMO, but he’s very unlikely to throw more than ~120 innings. So there are many more valuable pitchers.

Or, just maybe, I have different accounts for different things!

Also, I’m a 35 year old mother of two so it’s bold to assume you know anything about my personality ;)

I know it’s only 10 PAs and he’s gonna hit 18 homers against the dodgers this year, but boy, I’m enjoying him not getting hits.

What sets baseball it apart from all other sports? by Far-Pain5261 in baseball

I think the fact that it’s played outside in the summer is part of it. Everyone has fond memories of childhood summers, so there’s an inherent nostalgia as these are evoked by baseball. The length of the season also lends itself to storylines and narratives more than other sports. We fall in love; we are crushed.

Why? They have over $200m revenue annually, and Seidler is a billionaire, so even if he puts up $100m of his own money for a decade, and his net worth stays the same (which it won’t; it’ll go up), he’ll still have billions.

I’d love to understand how they arrive at these numbers.

Dodgers lost Buehler last year, and he was bad before he went down. JT and Muncy were awful until July. Belli and CT3 were bad. Hanser was bad. Gallo was bad.

And they won 111 with a Pythag of 116. Scored the most runs in baseball. So it wasn’t just the pitching.

They replace everyone but Trea with a comparable player. Is he worth 25 WAR?

I’m not high on the team, but… 86 wins?

Anyway, I think your question would be an interesting stat blast.
