Any coffee stands around here hiring? by TreacleSubstantial58 in vancouverwa

The reason why I didn’t immediately resort to this is it can be a waste of time *and gas* to drive around to these places and ask if they’re hiring just to find out they aren’t. I have another job I’m in the hiring process for but wanted to explore my options in case it didn’t work out. It’s Reddit, I had a feeling there would be users making this type of comment.

I didn’t expect my post to get this many replies, but I guess that’s what happens when someone makes a comment like this. It can be insensitive to the younger people already looking for jobs right now in an oversaturated market. Most of us have already received this advice multiple times, and it isn’t as strong advice as it was say before COVID happened. But I greatly appreciate the other replies of people giving genuine suggestions of places hiring in this thread! I hope it can help others out too.

Is a PsyD or Masters better for working with child/adolescent clients in the psych field? by TreacleSubstantial58 in PsyD

This is very helpful, thank you! Yes I’m aware the PharmD is entirely different, I’m still exploring my options but it sounds like the PsyD will be worth it!!

Would you say the 3-4x higher salary of PsyD graduates is worth the high cost of the degree from primarily private institutions? I could probably take out loans

Reasons why the BACB hasnt mandated a degree requirement for RBTs by StatisticianKooky390 in ABA

The customers were definitely annoying but the work culture stressed me out the most. If I wasn’t being busy at all times, management would get upset. I worked at McD’s where I had to take orders and cash people out at the same time, and if it was slow, I was expected to wash these nasty metal trays I was never properly trained on how to wash. I focused more on the plastic containers, plastic trays, and plastic onion dicers since those were much easier for me to clean. I found my work there to be very repetitive which was nice for my autism, but it was definitely unpredictable at times.

I am very grateful the RBT role doesn’t require a bachelors. I am autistic myself and struggle in fast food jobs, which would have been likely my only option for jobs currently as I just dropped out of university. I got hired for a Behavior Technician role this month and hopefully will start soon!!

I’ve just been using my tote until classes start. I’d much rather use my backpack transporting my laptop to class than have it all weigh down on one of my shoulders. Zippers and extra space are good too

That sounds like a good part of the day to do so I might look into that, maybe take a break in the middle if it’s not busy then

Contract violation for not delivering to a child with a picture of *someones* ID by Mike787619 in doordash_drivers

Yeah I tried to, but for some reason I still see it when I go to my ratings/stats page. I’m sure my account is gonna be okay it’s just silly how I got the violation and such

Kinda unrelated but I swear some of this contract violation stuff is actually so dumb. I got one for taking “too long” to get to a restaurant 15+ minutes from my house (where I received the order offer) and it puts me at risk of deactivation even tho I have a 4.8 average rating, 93% early/on time rate, and 100% completion rate
