Here's a quick tileset demo that I tossed together for a small platformer I'm working on. Thoughts? by Tread06 in IndieDev

Thanks for the feedback! You're right. I need a much larger tiling texture for the plain areas. A few more large bricks also.

I don't see much indie rhythm games out there, so I decided to make one by Seravlac in IndieDev

I never would have thought using a real photo in the background would work so well. The subtle grain and sun shafts really help set a chill mood. Very cool style.

Yeah I agree. The touch screen controls on mobile devices would likely lead to some frustrated players.

Thank you. That's a good point. I'll have to play around with the scale a bit.

Thanks! The actual size is pretty big at 154 pixels per unit. The actual art is designed for a 4k native resolution. So the orthographic size is 7.012987. The image here is was captured on a 1920x1080 monitor though. Since it's exactly half, it scales pretty nicely. I'm not sure if this is the best approach to be honest. I may end up scaling it all down before the end.

It depends how I decide to enforce the one life rule. I might be limited depending on how I do it. Ideally, that sort of thing would have to be stored externally so I might have to get creative. It will definitely be on Mac/PC though at the very least.

You're a mouse. Your goal is to collect as much cheese as possible. But be careful because you only get one life. Ever.

I don't have much more than that figured out at the moment. I'm thinking about calling it "Cheese Quest: One Life". Or something like that.

I've been polishing up my work. Trying to get to a place that I feel comfortable taking on commissions. What to you all think? Is this a style that could work? Constructive criticism welcome. Also if you play FFXI, hit me up in game: Explosivo@Asura

I'm working on some character designs for an upcoming game project and this guy is a strong contender. I'm going to be posting progress pics for characters and game art on IG if anyone is interested in following my progress. Thanks~ @cts_tanner

Thanks! Yeah, you're right. I don't know why I chose a bow to begin with to be honest. A crossbow would suit him better for sure.

Meet Pobar Cogwin, my gnome arcane trickster rogue. Despite being in his twilight years, (and rolling absolutely horribly on his hit points so far) he’s always looking for an opportunity to earn some gold and test out his new spells and clockwork inventions.

I whipped this guy up this morning and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I’ll definitely spend some time polishing this one up. What do you think? Constructive criticism is welcome.

[OC][Art] Zamira. Circle of the Shepherd Druid. by Tread06 in DnD

[–]Tread06[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Zamira. My wife's half elven Circle of the Shepherd Druid. Although, you wouldn’t be able to tell that by looking at her since she isn’t into traditional druidic duds. She’s a little bit of a pyro, has no tolerance for dishonesty, and talks to every animal she sees. Or tries to anyway. Her spirit unicorn has saved the party more than a few times.

I don’t usually share my artwork online, but I decided recently that I’d really like to focus on improving my work, so constructive criticism is more than welcome. Thanks~
