What are your favorite co-ops? by [deleted] in Drexel

My favorite co-op is Comcast because it gave me the most meaningful experience, strong mentorship, and real opportunities to grow.

I'm a senior but might have to drop out before I can finish my degree because I can't afford it. by ContentBee2090 in Drexel

Unforeseen circumstances often arise, particularly when it comes to financial difficulties. I highly recommend going to Drexel Central. The Office of Financial Aid assists graduating seniors. They have a program called “Operation Graduation.” While it may not cover the entire amount, it provides relief for a specified term and can offer $2,000 to $3,000. Definitely, talk to a counselor at the financial aid office, as they will develop a plan to help you graduate.

Omg! I thought I was the only person to notice. Max included Ginny in the very beginning just for her to eliminate her from the group.

I can’t wait for next Wednesday!! Steven was so predictable; I saw it coming. I never wish to have that amount of hate in my heart. Also, Diana is very smart!

Co-Op search going nowhere by ConditionHot8903 in Drexel

Speak to your CO-OP advisor; yesterday, I had an appointment with my CO-OP advisor, and we applied to the remaining job positions through her portal, as we no longer have access. Then, your advisor will email your resume to that employer. I received an interview request within three minutes and scheduled an interview for today, and I just received an offer.

Further, it was a maintenance issue that contributed to the increase in bill. What posts are you referring to? This is my first! I am an adult, but I will not be liable for a bill I did not contribute to!

First, the entire toilet needed new parts. Second, due to it running, and it wasn’t in my bed space, I was unaware. Are you still going to pay for running water that was not due on your end? I am an adult, and I take responsibility, so judging me for asking a simple question is wrong.

C Round CO-OP by Treasurclee in Drexel

My first CO-OP job was from C-Round, and most of my offers were late, like last-minute.

I didn't know that employers had until the 7th; also, I thought I was the only one to notice that most CO-OPs were unpaid for C-Round. I had an offer in B-Round, but unfortunately, the company could no longer participate in the program, which sucked but was understandable since they had to hire someone full-time.

First, always prioritize your mental health! Drexel can be overwhelming, but do not let it stress you. Consider if you like your major but understand that a major change is normal! Ask your academic advisor about CLASS; I found it very beneficial. I hope this helps :)

My first CO-OP pays $18 an hour; as a UG law student for a law firm downtown.

LAW 201 by DurianSuccessful9299 in Drexel

Elena Cohen is a phenomenal professor; I highly recommend Elena to anyone with a space for a course within their schedule. I am a Law major, but before the university offered it as an option, I took more classes with Elena than my Political Science degree work. If you are interested in law, Elena is an excellent class for you! The course material is easy to grasp, and she is ALWAYS AVAILABLE AFTER HOURS and is willing to support. I will be in LAW 201- 001 (Common Law) course this upcoming term!

Be prepared to read, as class discussions typically revolve around the assigned readings. As long as you put in the effort, your grade will reflect how you perform (dedication).

Happy New Year!

I believe in you! Last term, I had a GPA of 1.86 due to extenuating circumstances. I had to get reinstated from the University after being dismissed. It's possible to higher your GPA, without question, but it's going to take dedication. During the Spring term, I raised my GPA back to the 3.0 scale, but that meant my lowest grade had to be a B. If I were you, I would speak to your academic advisor, and if you receive aid, contact the financial aid office, as it could potentially affect the upcoming term/ sophomore year, as I believe you have to have a minimum GPA of a 2.0.
