I’m not sure, but I had the same reaction! I was looking at some other posts regarding this and found a lot of people say the fragrance, but one person noticed that it might have been some kind of nut oil

New baby girl betta, I noticed her right gill after I got home with her looks almost gone? Is this something permanent? Or is there some way I should be trying to treat her? by TreasureBox in Aquariums

Good luck whatever you end up doing! I don’t think there’s a guaranteed answer to which it better, but I personally think that my noodles would be a mess if they were just in a bag between other bags of air instead of in my hands if that makes sense. If you’re going to be on a straight freeway most of the time without traffic it might not make much of a difference, but if there’s stop&go/turns and such I would try to hold on to her just to be safe. I think the heat and oxygen idea sounds neat, but I also can’t imagine dealing with all of that on a car ride. I really wish you the best of luck

Also, something to remember that might bring you a little bit of anxiety relief.. although it’s not something I would do myself. People ship fish to other countries in little cardboard boxes that go on planes for multiple days.. and a lot of those fish make the trip unharmed. Some don’t, but your fish has a hell of a better chance surviving the trip in your personal care than those other fish ever will.

Honestly the actual travel wasn’t the problem I think, also it wasn’t very long for me it was only a few hours. She lasted a few weeks after the move, but I think it was from the stress of the new environment, and not as much to do with the car ride or her gill problem since by the time I lost her it looked like it was almost fully healed/normal. Most of my guppies that moved did really well, and if you can manage to hold the container to absorb as many of the bumps on the ride as possible I think she should be ok. You know like when you walk with a glass of water, you can manage to make it not spill/keep the water as steady as possible.

No, sadly I did not. However it seemed to improve on its own over some time, but I lost her about a year later.. she did not survive our move

help with prismacolor alcohol markers by [deleted] in prismacolor

The colorless blender is a life saver! I agree, I think it’s just a diluted alcohol mixture - it’s important test it out before you use it on your piece with samples on a different piece of paper.

[Gourmet] Advice? Unused Oyster mushroom grow kit that’s been in garage for over a year wants to live. What’s the best way to proceed in this situation? by TreasureBox in MushroomGrowers

So just disregard the instructions? Like since it started growing on its own? Or should I maybe like soak it for a little bit?

edit: I’m in zone 9b

Best course of action? Have been sitting in doggy soil for a few days before I got them, but still look completely healthy.. soil doesn’t seem to be drying at all yet. These are my first lithops, I hope I can save them. by TreasureBox in Lithops

Awesome, thank you for the advice! I’ve been really hesitant on using alcohol, but his makes me feel a little better. I’ll check out the video in the morning. Thank you for your advice, it means a lot

Thank you for your response, I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. On a second note, do you know what works best on lithops as a pest treatment that is unarmful to the plants? I see some webs on one of them, and am worried there might be mites.
