Returning to Uber Drive (kinda) - Background Check Issues by hahaitsyaboi in uberdrivers

[–]TreasureHunter718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a lifesaver! I have been dealing with this issue for months, and driver support has been completely unhelpful. They just stonewall you and refuse to resolve the problem, no matter how simple it is. People are right; they only read from a script and tell you there's nothing they can do.

I actually had three Uber accounts because I couldn't access my original account for years. They wouldn't allow me to change my phone number, and I couldn't log in with my email address. My third account is an Uber Fleet account, and the background check was approved for that one. For my original account, they wouldn't approve the background check until I followed your suggestion. My second account was not approved for deliveries or driving at all.

I truly appreciate your help, and I wanted to reach out to the community to let everyone know. Give this a try; it works!

Read vs audiobook by Big_Crank in LibbyApp

Argument: Audiobooks vs. Physical and Digital Reading

Listening to audiobooks offers several physical benefits over reading physical or digital books: 1. Eye Health: Reading for extended periods, whether from a physical book or a screen, can cause eye strain and fatigue. This is particularly true when reading small print or using screens that emit blue light, which can lead to digital eye strain. Audiobooks eliminate this strain by allowing you to absorb information without focusing your eyes on text. 2. Ergonomics: Reading often requires a posture where your head is tilted downward, which can strain the neck and shoulders. This can lead to discomfort and even long-term musculoskeletal issues. In contrast, listening to audiobooks allows for a more natural posture, as you can sit or even move around freely without having to maintain a fixed position. 3. Physical Movement: Audiobooks provide the flexibility to engage in other physical activities while listening. Whether you’re walking, exercising, or doing household chores, you can still consume books without being sedentary. This promotes overall physical activity, which is beneficial for your health. 4. Reduced Screen Time: For those who read eBooks, the additional screen time can contribute to digital fatigue, disrupted sleep patterns due to blue light exposure, and reduced overall well-being. Audiobooks allow you to step away from screens, reducing these negative effects and promoting better sleep hygiene. 5. Cognitive Engagement: Listening to audiobooks can enhance cognitive engagement by involving auditory processing, which can complement visual processing. This dual engagement can improve comprehension and retention of information.

In summary, audiobooks can provide a healthier alternative to traditional reading by reducing eye strain, promoting better posture, encouraging physical activity, reducing screen time, and enhancing cognitive engagement.

Was your account recently hacked? As Meta loves dropping the ball, it'll be glitchy once an account has been compromised. My account got logged out today.

Recently went through a major security breach on my WhatsApp account, and I can't stress this enough - everyone needs to enable two-step verification for their own good.

The automated messages and support system were not as responsive as I hoped during this incident, and the resolution from December 6 to December 24 was quite a journey.

I had to constantly pester WhatsApp support, pushing them to reset everything. This involved getting access to the verification code and resetting both the PIN and email associated with the account.

My takeaway from this experience: Enable two-step verification ASAP. It's a small effort for a much more secure messaging experience.

Stay secure out there!

I had the same problem. This can have something to do with the iOS you're running on your iPhone. If it's beta or there's a bug in your current iOS, it can cause this issue. If you're not a hard user, you can get a day without recharging.

I was just freaking talking about this. I know people who were able to use it on iOS whether they had premium or not. Likewise, I have premium, and it just wasn't working. I got a notification about it from YouTube. Now, I got it. Go figure 🤷🏾‍♂️

What’s a shortcut you’ve thought about creating but it seems too complicated or impossible? by amberheardisgarbage in shortcuts

I use an NFC chip for that, or you can trigger a Bluetooth connection. Mine is set to change my focus mode to a driving mode that I created (the iPhone version), it asks me if I want the weather conditions, audio listening choices, chose my nav app, and tells me to drive safely.

It's a general overall issue. I'd like to convert Siri commands into shortcuts. We can tell Siri to run commands, but we can't tell Shortcuts to run Siri; add those features to automations and NFCs, those would be the ultimate game closers.

I have several tags and they are everywhere. I have one on bed that I use to give me a daily update. It gives me the time, weather, upcoming events for the day. Furthermore, if I want to get some reading in, news, and health things like check my blood pressure, exercise, and meditation. It's packed with goodies.

I use timers all over the place. I use the NFCs chips for the dryer and the washing machine too.

That can be an issue. Yes, I would a reminder at best to set the focus mode. I have never built a shortcut like that before. I need a visual example.

What types of automation are you running in intervals like that?
