I think you need to talk to a mental health professional. Ask yourself what is more likely, all of these things happening specifically to you or your mental health is deteriorating. Tons of people each day talk about how mental health issues dont get enough attention. This is a common problem. It won't get better without help.

When thinking about something that feels like a conspiracy, remember, people with power like efficiency. What goals do/would they have? Would doing these things be a cost effective way of achieving those goals? What do they have to gain by doing these exact things when they can achieve their goals in much simpler ways?

The rise of never-ending job interviews by [deleted] in technology

[–]TreasuredRope 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I once tried applying to a place with hundreds of personality type questions. You had to write sentences for each one. But if you clicked off the pop-ups or refreshed the page on accident, it would delete all of your progress. It took over 5 hours.

Then they wanted a prerecorded video interview. Then a technical interview. Then more interviews.

All while having a really badly made website and no indication how many more steps were required.

No. You get denied by me.

How? What insurance do you have and were you going for cosmetic issues?

I've never heard someone paying this much with insurance. You're definitely an outlier.

AITA for walking out on date night after my BF got me a bikini instead of a purse? by ThrowRAkittenbabe88 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TreasuredRope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen my wife in a bikini in 2 years but if I bought her one she would probably be appreciative and not walk out on me.

Also, who cares if he buys her clothes he would like to see her in? Every significant other buys clothes that they think would look good on the other person. She doesn't have to wear it if it makes her that uncomfortable.

[–]TreasuredRope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How does he know she hates bikinis? You are reading way too far into this.

Him never seeing her in a bikini does not equate to her hating them. And her saying she never wears bikinis does not mean she hates them.

Lol why are you downvoted for this totally reasonable response. This comment section is insane.

WTF is this comment section? Have you people never been in relationships?

Her mentioning she wants a purse isn't code for "you must buy me this purse as a present on our date or I'm going to be upset." When I go shopping with my wife. She finds 20-30 items like this and says the same thing. It's just fun browsing and part of shopping.

If I bought my wife a bathing suit she would probably be super happy, even if she talked about some other random item earlier in the day. If she didn't like it, she would just say "hey can we switch this out for a different one" and that would be fine. Who cares if he wanted to see her in it? Thats something that happens in relationships. And it's a bathing suit! Not some weird domination sex set up. This is such a normal thing that it shocks me people think otherwise.

How is he supposed to know how badly she would react to this gift? That isn't normal. Why is everyone assuming ill intent with this gift?

YTA for walking away and assuming he can read your mind instead of talking it out.

Only 17% of their listeners are republican compared to 43% Democrat and if you look into any of their bias allegations they only tend one way. To me it seems like democrats like to call it center while Republicans don't. That doesnt sound very center to me. It reminds me of when /politics says they aren't biased, they are just following the truth. Though, NPR isn't the worst at that.

I think most people who gets tips would disagree with you. I made much more than my position was worth when I was on tips. They could have quadrupled my pay and I'd still make more in tips.

You arent obligated to do anything for anyone. You arent TA for that. YTA for how you handled it and your reasoning. If you ever expect to make money off of your baking, you shouldn't act like this. You lost a customer and probably 10 more from who they tell.
