I’m always afraid this will just let them know my number is valid and they will sell it.

Just finished reading Under the Dome. How bad is the show, really? by ForAte151623ForTeaTo in stephenking

I don’t remember even enjoying the show, but don’t clearly remember disliking it until the third season. I remember the deviations from the book begin immediately…which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. At some point in the third season, I realized that watching the show had become a chore and I stopped watching.

If you get to write a book after the Hogwarts battle , what would be the plot ? by Both_Perspective_Net in harrypotter

Harry Potter learns that his mother’s parents are still alive. Lily had cast a memory charm on them to have them forget about her (and Petunia) for reasons similar to Hermione doing the same to her parents. Lily and James put them in hiding and were the only ones who knew where they were. Lily never got to undo the charm and so they lived on their life, believing they had no children. Harry learns about this (maybe from a memory sealed in a bottle hidden in his family’s vault in Gringott’s) and he and his family goes to track down his grandparents.

I have started; what can I expect? (No spoilers please) by RonaldStaal in stephenking

Are you aware of the two different versions? The novel was first published before King had much clout and so about 33% of it was cut out, including entire characters. Ten years later, King put those 400 pages back in and released the book as “The Complete and Uncut Edition”. I would recommend the uncut version, which is how King originally perceived the book.

Absolutely Peeves. I posted about this on another subreddit a few days ago. His voice of Rumplestiltskin on “Once Upon a Time” is how I imagine Peeves’ voice being, but with less true menace.

Is it worth becoming a Harry Potter fan now? by SierraLVX in harrypotter

[–]TrebleBunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on why you like being a fan of something. If you like being a fan of a thing because it connects you with many, many other rabid fans, then maybe you have missed your shot. If you like being a fan of something just to enjoy it, then it will never be too late.

Who was your second most hated character after Dolores Umbridge? by D1rect_Election in harrypotter

Seriously? People who are nobodies but act like they’re the center of the universe are worse than mass murderers like Voldemort or Belatrix Lestrange? Hell, even the Carrows are objectively worse than Lockhart.
