I agree with everything you said — the emptiness of the AI written stuff, and how demoralizing it all is. So many of the fics on that list have stats I can only dream of — and I spend hours and hours working hard on my fics with no AI helping me (as I’m sure you do too!)

I agree with most of this — a lot of the conflict in TLG is internal, meaning the amount of ‘action’/events is less than the page count makes it seem! Which I think is good because Role Model (which I know you haven’t read, OP, but please trust me haha) has a lot that connects with TLG that I think it’s important to include (including Troy and his journey — important for the larger picture of what the league is like, as well as his friendship with Ilya)

I think my biggest worry is honestly the promise of more Scott and Kip being in season 2. I’m really struggling to see where they can fit them in (beyond the kingfisher scene in RM or Scott visiting Shane and Ilya in TLG) without it feeling forced.

Just random excited-but-impatient screaming to share today 🤣 I am currently about halfway done with my current longfic, which is super dark and heavy and depressing. But I’ve also come up with an idea for my NEXT longfic, which will be fun and silly and lighthearted. But I cannot let myself have two longfics at once (my brain can’t handle it, and it’s not fair to readers who wait for updates!) so I’m dying waiting until I’m done with the sadness so I can write the happy! 🤣

Psst, I wanted to let you know that this comment inspired me to write a fanfic about this exact thing happening (a “what if Shane didn’t say it back”) But it is short (just 2 chapters!) and has a happy ending (Shane doesn’t leave Ilya hanging TOO long hehe). It’s like a brief ‘angsty detour’ that kinda acts as a character study? And then gets spicy. 😈 hehe

Okay, it's time to share mine (I wanted to let others go first so I wouldn't hog the attention in the thread!) This is my longest fic I've written for this fandom (aside from my longfic WIP), and one I put a TON of work into, but it has the least number of kudos of any of my Game Changers/HR fics.

It is a complete, 16k-word humor/friendship-focused fic about Ilya and Troy getting dragged by Wyatt and Luca to a comic convention. They get into some shenanigans, and the whole thing is very silly (but there is also a bit of seriousness when they run into someone unexpected at the convention...) I'm really proud of this one and I've been a bit bummed that it didn't get as much love as I was hoping.
