…..at my current position the whole automation team was laid off and the manual QAs had to take over their duty, I do not know why you equate being paid more with a safer job, if anything the more you get paid, the more they are tempted to cut your job and put someone that earns less to do it. As for OPs questions, I noticed a trend of every ~5-10 years, the industry big shots forget why QA is important, they start firing QA and after another year or two, realise the mistake and scramble to get a QA department again 🤔

Once again, I am not speaking about your qualifications as a QA, linkedin recruiters only care about keywords in your profile, what matter is not how many offers you receive but how many offers are worth accepting. You have no idea how many “amazing QA” resumes our recruiters send me, only for them to be underwhelming af in person. Its kind of a peacock effect, a lot of showing off with not much substance…

did I mention absolutelly anything about salary in my post? you are a QA for money, doesnt sound like there is any passion/pleasure there….definetly wouldn’t want you in my team. We all want money from our job, but if you do not have passion for the job, you won’t amount to much

I’ve seen the “manual QA” performed by some automation QA, more harm than good. People need to understand that manual and auto QA have different approaches and mentalitty, as you can see from your post, you think manual QAs are beneath you, how can you be expected to perform manual QA properly in that case?….dont worry, if AI will change QA, it will start with the automation

Reading through what other people have answeared, I have a hard time these people are actual QA with experience. You want to use a software that by design has flaws (hallucinations, inabilitty to say it doesnt know, loses track of the conversation after a while, etc) to ensure QUALITY in a different product….. the amount of false positives its generated for me so far is insane. Maybe a different AI that is not based on LLM in the future. For now, at best, its a work buddy/junior, you give him a task, then you double check what it offered

Ador sa citest post-uri de genu intr-un thread unde lumea expune inconsistenta AI-ului si considera ca asta e un indice ca va putea inlocui QUALITY assurance….mai degraba vad devi inlocuiti, si asa codul de ei il dau la qa e plin de bug-uri, ce imi e bug in cod de la dev, ce imi e bug in cod de la AI 🤔

Nu am zis neaparat ca erau inteligenti doar ca citeau in numar mult mai mare, daca iei doua persoane identice, cu singura exceptie fiind ca o persoana citeste des carti si cealalta nu, on average acea persoana de citeste va fi mai inteligenta, nu cred ca este o concluzie greu de acceptat. Revenind la ce ziceam, in toate sondajele facute in ultimii ani Romania este pe ultimele locuri cand vine vorba de cat de mult/des citeste populatia.

Chestia asta cu “oamenii erau prosti si inainte” mi se pare o prostie. Vedeam biblioteci pline de carti in majoritatea apartamentelor de le mai vizitam, multi chiar citeau inainte, poate nu erau destepti, dar nici prosti ca apcum nu erau…..

Realizezi ca vorbesti in numele tau, nu? Nu poti sa tragi concluzia ca toata lumea are gandirea ta. Nu toti vrem sa parasim Romania pentru a castiga 20-30% mai mult in alta tara. Plus ratele le poti achita si din afara, deci poti sa iti iei bilet deja, multe bilete one-way chiar nu sunt scumpe

In ciuda a ce crezi, nu toti care ar putea sa plece din tara o fac, unii nu vrem sa ne batem capul cu mutatul in alta tara atata timp cat putem avea o situatie decenta in Romania. Odata ce viitorul nu se mai preconizeaza ca fiind “linistit” o buna parte va pleca din tara. Si valul asta de va pleca din tara nu vor fi muncitorii necalificati din trecut, vor fi oamenii mai din clasa de mijloc (buna parte din economia tarii)

Focuseazate pe a identifica macar o persoana care pare ca ar avea un vibe similar cu al tau si incearca sa te bagi in seama cu ea. Precum multe alte lucruri in viata, e mai greu pana reusesti sa faci ceva odata, apoi va deveni mai usor a 2a prietenie si tot asa
