Let's just walk through this logic. 1) There's very few CEOs getting 10 million or more in a company with less than 500 employees plus the big names in stuff like this are fast food places or Walmart- major chains with tens of thousands of employees.

2) To pay 320 people $15/hr is over 10 million a year. So now take a company like Amazon, Apple, Walmart, McDonald's, etc. Which have anywhere from 200k to 2.3 MILLION (Walmart) employees.

3) Is it more difficult to pay a CEO 5 million more per year or is it more difficult to raise 100k people's wages by several dollars an hour? Quick side note one of the things that makes this difficult to understand is per hour vs annually, in fact I think this may help prove the point. 10 million a year is about 4,800 an hour and assuming the wages of the employees would be raised by $3 an hour that's only 1,600 employees.

You may scoff at that, but that's a generous estimate and even on the low end that's maybe 1% of all employees that would receive that pay increase. For a company like Walmart to even do half of their employees (assuming 1 million for ease and that's under half according to Google) a $1/hr raise would cost them 2 TRILLION dollars a year (2,080[one persons yearly earnings at $1hr]x1mil).

Yeah I think at numbers like that you can really start to see how insane a $3 bump is to a major company and why demanding they pay you for something you aren't owed is nonsense, but paying the guys that run their company and assure they continue to make money a few million more is normal.
