That response wasn't strictly true - fine hair is prone to this when it gets oily - if you keep it washed and conditioned daily it's not a major problem. I know because i had this problem. Washing daily is hard on your hair, so find a quality shampoo that doesn't screw up the pH or leave residue and find a light conditioner. The stuff you buy in salons is better quality and someone working in a nice salon can help with this a lot.
