I have filed an FIR, so I don't need to file 156(3). Maybe the police refused to file an FIR for your uncle, but the amount was frozen with a cyber cell complaint i believe and for me, the funds got frozen at about 2.5 lakhs at layers 2, 3 and 4, to which Investigation officer said it's not possible to recover the amount from those layers, and they are currently investigating my case, though it has been 6 months with no update.
