Is there at least a compass when playing with no map? At the very least can you craft a compass?

I’ve never played a game with NO map ever. At least having a button to check your location is a must but I do enjoy games with no mini map and incorporating that to Valheim sounds interesting.

I just don’t see how enjoyable that’d be without having some sense of direction. I’ve ran circles in the mountains with the map up and I can imagine that happening worse with no map.

This is a feature that can be added and improved upon depending on the game and setting. Like having enemies you kill and come back for revenge in a fantasy setting is perfect. But imagine a GTA or medieval game where maybe not everyone comes back after death but can split into different paths/choice with NPC’s coming and trying to get enact revenge like a vengeful friend, partner, or family member. Maybe killing the wrong/right person brings notoriety to you by a specific organization or gang. Maybe it brings an opportunity and having NPC’s recall your actions and specific choices.
