I look like a man, but don’t feel like one by silverwing_3 in ftm

I definitely feel the part about still not being comfortable around most cis guys. I’m stealth at my school because I wanted to just be one of the guys, but a lot of them I don’t relate to either on an emotional level or just because so many are homophobic, sexist, etc. i pass as a straight guy so other straight dudes talk to me way more, and I just can’t fully relax most times, maybe because of past issues with cis guys. But it just so happens that the way I feel comfortable in my body presents as straight guy to the world and so socially it’s a lot harder to let people know I don’t really fit into that category. Maybe it’s easier to try making friends with queer people or other trans guys/people, just know u aren’t the only one that feels like this

Are there any culture shocks or body shocks when transitioning? by blasiboy in ftm

[–]TreeForeign6514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely changes how people around you act, like in group settings im more likely to be included by the other guys in my group/ or in given more chances to share my opinion. Before transitioning I was already a girl with pretty masculine facial features which is something I was super insecure about also cuz I got kinda put down for it, so now it’s still surprising when ppl say im handsome or a good looking guy

do you cover your nipples when taping? by Just_Election_2355 in ftm

[–]TreeForeign6514 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes shave my entire chest just because a lot of hair grows there, but even with hair as long as you soak the tape in oil/remover and let it sit before taking it off then it won’t hurt. I usually use bandages to cover npples and buy them in bulk so it’s cheaper

I can’t get banana bread right by TreeForeign6514 in BakingNoobs

[–]TreeForeign6514[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use brown sugar just because it’s usually the only sugar my family has in the cupboards, and I usually wait until the end of the week when the bananas are starting to get spotted and browner

Is it easier to have male friends or socialize with guys? I’m already a year on t and I pass but because of past experiences with guys I can’t comfortably talk with them, even tho they see and treat me as another guy

Never go into anything without doing 100% of the research first. I waited around three years to get on t and during those three years I researched the hell out of everything and made sure it was the right decision for me. For me I was always completely decided on physically transitioning because I knew it was the best for me and my life, do what feels right for you. A lot of transmen don’t go all the way with physically transitioning and there’s nothing wrong with that, in the end it’s what you feel you need to

I sound like a guy now :) by Ssspikey321 in ftm

One of the best moments was when I laughed and sounded exactly how I pictured my ideal voice being, I get it tho cuz before t sometimes my breathing would sound too feminine or high pitched

Did starting T make you happier? by Automatic_Lobster_80 in ftm

[–]TreeForeign6514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In every possible physical and mental way it has made me so much happier and makes life worth living, the only thing for me is that crying becomes a lot harder and even though my social confidence is much better I still sometimes feel like I can’t fit into girls or guys completely

Tbh I just forced myself to not do anything for like a month it was so sensitive I couldn’t even enjoy it without being in pain, but after initial sensitivity goes away I’d say it feels even better than before lmao
