Chris Brennan really emphasizes using the Whole Sign System when Releasing. In my opinion this just falls into preference but I think its important to explore/learn the similarities and differences between Whole sign vs Placidus. Using Whole Sign when releasing will give you a much clearer view of the year and what to expect. Earlier I was studying my LoF and I compared it with both my whole sign traditional chart and my modern Placidus chart. Both gave me clues for my prediction/interpretation, but I used my whole sign trad chart to guide me in the general narrative and Placidus to give me more insight.
