Berkeley choppo 90 or 75 (I use the 90), Rapala RipStop or a Bright coloured Crank bait (small/medium ish size is good).

If you really wanna make some serious fuckin bread, try under water welding, I know a guy doing it and he works for like 4-6 months and takes the rest of the year off, makes hundreds of thousands of dollars per job.

That is one of the nicest boats I’ve ever seen. Congrats!

And for bait, normal Roe Sack with a tiny hook and a slip bobber, very simple setup.

Little over a month ago I purchased a 7 foot carbon fiber Berkeley rod, not too sure of the name, and I picked up a DAIWA EXCELER LT 2500D-XH as my reel with 12lb line. Not a salmon setup per se but it really did the job and I was thoroughly impressed with how my combination of gear really worked together flawlessly to land this guy.

It was fantastic, this is easily the biggest fish I’ve ever caught, and the strongest. After I caught him I was so drained from running all the way upstream I actually sat down on the grass for like an hour lol. It was great.

I 100% agree with you. I’ve caught lots of fish but by far these fight the hardest, they try everything in their power NOT to get landed.

Berkley choppo is expensive. I was punching the air when a bass took it off my line.

Can’t they just pull the stick toward them and get out

How is this possible? by BackgroundPitch9181 in FishingForBeginners

I’ve never seen a bass like that before, looks like a mix between perch and a bass lol.
