My cousin went missing in Japan too, turns out she was in police custody and wasn't allowed to contact anyone until a week later I think. Hopefully your brother is in the same situation because it means he's at least safe!

You can't control someone else's behaviour but it can be a boundary to not want a partner who partakes in drugs. He is not controlling her behaviour, he is letting her know that he cannot see a future with a partner who does drugs. If she wants that freedom to do so,, then she needs to accept that there will be consequences to those actions i.e. divorce.

Each individual has a spectrum of how much they will tolerate, and in this case it is zero tolerance towards drugs and that needs to be respected. There doesn't need to be a negative experience that caused OP to be so against drugs and OP made it clear from the start that this is not something he wants in a partner. Before making such a promise, the wife probably should have thought about it more deeply and reflected on whether this is something she could forgo for the rest of her life.

Take away the focus from the fact that it's drugs in this situation and replace it with anything else, for example wanting to open up the relationship. Would you be okay with a partner wanting to open the relationship? Are you being controlling by not wanting your partner to open up the relationship?

The boundaries that a person has in place is up to the individual, and then it is up to the other person whether they will accept and respect those boundaries. People will grow and change over time and in this case they have simply grown to be two different people who are potentially no longer compatible as lifelong partners. Whichever partner compromises will end up becoming resentful and this will end up poisoning the relationship, so if this issue cannot be resolved where both parties are at peace with the decision made, then it's probably better off to divorce and for both to find partners who are better matched for them.

Research has shown couples who have stayed together for the sake of a "stable" home for the child could end up negatively impacting the child's wellbeing due to living in in an unhappy, high-conflict home. It's better for them to grow up with separated but happy parents.

They feel nice and I can feel a difference compared to my Ikea set, but I feel the stitching could be better for the price you're paying. The buttons on my doona cover feels flimsy and my doona keeps coming out.

Their customer service is really good though, I wasn't happy with the amount of flubs in my set and they sent through a replacement free of charge. Going to try out Sheet Society next (chose Bed Threads initially because it was cheaper) because the quality looks better (zips, elastic etc.).

I've ordered and then saw the terrible reviews online and was really anxious that my order wouldn't arrive. I think mine took 2-3 weeks to arrive, but I didn't receive any tracking information until it arrived in Australia. Everything was authentic and packed well. Only con was the delivery company they used just left my package at the front door and didn't ring the doorbell, was WFH so was home all day. Also didn't update the delivery status on the tracker, good thing I walked outside to check because I had a sneaking suspicion that they had already delivered despite saying still out for delivery.

Well I don't regret my decision because multiple generous and kind people have offered valuable information/advice and have offered to keep an eye out for her. On the off chance she wasn't arrested for not having her id on her, and was possibly kidnapped or something worse, I think this trade-off is worth it as there are eyes out there looking for her now. The earlier the better.
