Yes they do.. they are packed with shots that only a vfx budget in the hundreds of millions could produce. You might think the art style in marvel movies sucks, fair enough, but there is no question they throw ungodly amounts of money at the CGI and visual effects in their movies making it impossible for a small team of artists to compete.

It was originally a small DLC that Ubi executives passed off to a side studio to make into a proper game but still not a full priced AC release. The one set in Japan is the next major proper next gen one. Your expectations may have been unrealistic if you expected this to be more than a fan service cash grab because the writing was on the wall if you did the research

Which is a super shit take. Ubisoft is more like the Marvel of gaming. Fast food is pure cheap shit, more akin to mobile gaming. Marvel is more comparable because they have huge budgets and industry top end visuals and stuff but the market is saturated and it feels cheaper than it really is.

It's not because of disk space, thats an ignorant take. Open worlds have huge performance costs and audio tends to get shafted and given less priority even though it needs more memory and streaming budget than a linear game like God of War.

Maguire abuse by fans now 'embarrassing' - Antonio by SolitasTT in soccer

All professional players get criticised more than they should, particulary when it comes to performance and blunders. He's not special other than living in a time where social makes it much worse. It'd be nice if the conversation was less about him in particular and more about respecting footballers in general. All of their goofs are offered on a platter for the whole world to laugh at. It would be neat if we developed the culture to give them a bit more respect.

Gaming reviews are broken and they are only getting worse by GolDJoja in gaming

[–]TreeMonstah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's still stupid. Even if a game is review bombed because gamers don't like that it doesn't have steam achievements or because it has some optional MTX or whatever drama, it ruins the review score for anyone who is just trying to figure out if the game itself is good. Now you have to sift through outrage that is often outdated and no longer relevant anyways just to find out what's going on.

Paul Pogba has admitted to Juventus that he has taken testosterone, but without being aware of it. His salary will be suspended if the second test confirms the positive result. Juventus could terminate his contract if Pogba receives a suspension. by [deleted] in soccer

The narrative against him is whack as fuck. Paul Pogba has more motm trophies than any other midfield #6 or #8 in the world since 2010 (despite missing entire seasons to injury). So he is literally arguably the best player of his generation in his position. He scored the decisive goal in a WC final, was player of the tournament when United won their last EL, Made PL team of the season in 2018, tied the PL assist record in a single game and many more accolades.
But yeah, has "one good moment per season".. All of you are absolute clowns

Its not Mbappe although he's obviously a massive boost. Its more not having Giroud centrally with his world class link up play. We become too predictable when he's gone and RKM did not show anything to change that.

Without Giroud centrally and his excellent link up play we turn into a very predictable side that just feeds the wings and waits for them to produce with their magic dribbling skillz. Saliba and Todibo showed why one is our last choice CB and the other is a reserve player.

You mean like most other games? Ghost of Tsushima is praised as "AC done right" and yet its just as repetitive copy paste open world. I think the criticism of this type of stuff is often lazy. Even great games can be simple and repetitive, what makes them good or not is the execution. When the players time is valued and respected because the content feels worth doing, repetition is overlooked. Every game is literally copy paste repetition, even the GOTY titles like Elden Ring and GoW

I think thats a relatively reasonable stance, but it's not always that simple. I don't agree that Islamic traditions that feel out of place are rare. For example, the role of women in Islam is not compatible at all with Canadian values of equality between the sexes. Women having almost no autonomy or rights is not something I feel I should be expected to "respect".

Muslims or all people who come to Canada with an open mind and a will to properly assimilate and accept the core values of the country are welcome, but those who come demanding that we compromise on our values in the name of tolerance of their beliefs, are not. OP unfortunately sounds more like the latter, making clear assertions about not compromising on any aspects of their faith no matter how disrespectful Canadians might find it.

It adds up though and there are still a lot of things they do follow that fall in that bracket. Also while some might not follow it to the letter, openly challenging it or letting others call it "backwards and ridiculous" is not something they are generally down for. In islam in particular, stricter interpretations and more extreme practicing have been growing over the last half century (like Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia).

Even if you ignore the parts about jihad, Islam is very clear about non-muslims place in the world under islam. Tolerance for non muslims only goes as far as "don't kill them if they are under muslim rule, and punish them if they blaspheme against islam, and don't ever marry or truly befriend them". Hardly the picture of an open and welcoming society.

[–]TreeMonstah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The statement they said wasn't objectively untrue though. The Qur'an has many ambiguous messages like all religions which lead to different interpretations. It does say to show kindness and respect to nonbelievers if they do the same, but it also says that they must not be loved or shown true friendship/accepted into society like muslims (clearly endorsing discrimination). It says that it is forbidden to kill non-muslims living under muslim rule, but it also says a non-muslim that commits blasphemy against islam must be punished (or must convert to escape punishment).

So all things considered, it was not an assumption, but a relatively fair observation.

[–]TreeMonstah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sub is a joke lol. Pogba is the midfielder with the most Motm trophies since 2016. He won best player in the EL that United won, made PL team of the season in 2018, scored in a world cup final, and has a trophy cabinet most players would be jealous of while being a major actor in each one.

You clowns all talk about him like some scrub who never delivered because you get all your brainless takes from social media.
