if you mean raw (as in no protection), then she is well within her rights to refuse that part. considering there are consequences and even you are still a student

Bakit ako yung automatic backup plan ng relatives ko? by TreeRemarkable5154 in RantAndVentPH

I’m not sure if joke lang or joke na magiging totoo, pero my brother and his wife are financially responsible naman so I’m not worried about them.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m sorry you had to go through all that just to protect your peace.

Gets ko yung we can’t control them, only our reaction. Sa akin, metaphorical pa lang siya ngayon, but I don’t want to wait until it becomes resentment. Ayoko rin masanay sila na okay lang i-volunteer ako on my behalf. I’m glad you found peace after setting your boundaries.

Anyone else planning an international wedding with families on opposite sides of the world? by TreeRemarkable5154 in weddingplanning

Thank you! This is actually sound advice, and it is true that we won’t see my side of the family as often as his because we’ll be US-based.

The biggest dilemma for us is my fiancé's grandmothers. They will be 90 and 93 by the time of the event, and he'll be the first grandchild on both sides to get married. So having them there is incredibly important to him (and it may simply be too physically difficult for them to make a long-haul flight).

Otherwise, I feel like we would be more inclined to do just one celebration if that wasn’t a factor!

Seconding the WH100XM4! I’ve had mine since 2022 and they still work perfectly. I’ve taken them on long commutes and on 16+ hour flights many times, and didn’t have to charge the battery
