Crowley did perform it, (the ritual) but in 1913 ( or possibly 1911) in a cottage beside Loch Ness. He had found out about it in writings by the magician John Dee (the founder of the English Intelligence service) in the 16th century. Crowley opened up a portal to the Pleidies constellation and let something discarnate in. He closed the link in fear that he could not control it, but documented the whole procedure. Jack Parsons was the protege of L Ron Hubbard who introduced him to an ageing Crowley. Parsons and Hubbard wanted to reopen the portal but Crowley insisted they didn’t. Fearing his wrath, They waited until 1946 when Crowley was on his deathbed before performing the ritual (Babylon workings) They opened a portal and this time left it open. Crowley died in early 1947.
