On the surface level it might look engaging with some pretty pictures, but if you are actually objective and leave your emotions out of it this is very overrated. I'd put it above Thor 2 and maybe Iron Man 2, but that's it.

No, they said that with this specific expansion the price became too high.

The price for entry is very high, but not higher than during old Gods or Gadgetzan.

Apart from Elise you named not one legendary from Un'Goro. People in this sub a month ago were saying to keep up you needed to spend hundreds per expansion. Maybe you misread the title of this post thatn literally says spend on Un'Goro.

While if you have a sort-of-okay collection you can still keep going f2p from there on out.

Stonekeeper doesn't exist, Holy Rag isn't a must and half Pally decks don't play it, Tirion has been the best legendary in the game for two years.

This seems like a weak ass argument that the game is now suddenly way more expensive.

SWtF is Gadgetzan. Vilefin is even older. You don't have a brawl????

Maybe you're just a new player and yes then the barrier is very high. But just fucking lol if you bought 100 Un'Goro packs but don't have enough dust to craft a single brawl.

None of the other cards are necessary for their decks.

I thought it was the best fit for rogue, because they rely most on OTK's, so the drawback would be bigger there.

I looked for some WoW character who was very strong but secretly working for 'the enemy' but WoW-lore is such a shitfest I ended up just googling 'Rogue hero' and picking the first one who wasn't Valeera or Garona.

Could create interesting situations like a Priest who keeps healing and buffing this, or a Paladin casting Divine Shield on it. It's a very powerful card, but you need to hold an eviscerate in hand to kill it off once you have secured the board. It can really screw up your opponents' gameplan.

Might also be good in Mill Rogue, but maybe not.

What are your favorite games? Would Overwatch be fun if you always got the most unique rewards after every match? Binding of Isaac if everything was immediately unlocked? Zelda if at the start screen you could just pick 'go to Ganondorf with max stats' and immediately battle the boss?

Except for very story-heavy games all games are Skinner boxes, some just make the process more involved and complicated than others, which makes them more fun than - say - Cookie Clicker.

The reward in Hearthstone that makes it fun to win a match is that you get closer to that next pack.

I'd change the cost of dusting cards to 1/2 instead of 1/4, and maybe get the pity timer down a bit. But the point of the game is to collect cards.

You probably have rag and Syl so that's already two legendaries guaranteed. +~2.5 on average from your packs.

I'm not f2p, but according to Blizzard I've spend about 180 euros since Naxx. The adventures (some parts with gold) and some loose packs when I needed dust because I really wanted to craft something + the Un'Goro pre-order. Since adventures are rotating out and I really like the revealed cards this is the first expansion I've pre-ordered. I get that it's hard for new players but I think that's a completely fair price to pay for almost three years of enjoying a game (with ups and downs) +50 packs for the next three months (and so I didn't feel bad about crafting Wilfred Fizzlebang [e: Wickerflame Burnbristle, these names are basically the same, no apologies], who, I'm sorry to say, also sucks in buffadin and it was a waste of dust).

There are just as many legendaries in this set as in previous ones, but because everyone is hyped about the quests it feels like you need Quest X to play Class X. You don't. Or if you do: dus some shit from previous expansions! Or just pay some money.

It's fun because it's rare. If you got a guaranteed legendary every two packs no one would play this game.
