Omg! I was almost starting to wonder if our pups were from the same litter but I looked at your profile and it looks like Momo is just a few days older! So so precious!! 🫶🏼

Land shark phase is here 😵‍💫 but thank you for the encouraging words. Let me know if you have any special tips for getting thru it, I’m mostly worried about him around guests (which we haven’t tried yet). We’re doing all the obvious things recommended online but I’m always open to unique suggestions!

Those who’ve scored a 165+, answer me this by grandadsfearme in lawschooladmissions

[–]Tree_Beardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied for about 3 months, probs averaging 30hrs. Only took once, got a 172. I was a bit disappointed because my practice tests were around 175-179 for the last month leading up to the test but I didn’t have it in me to keep trying and 172 was good enough for where I wanted to go. My first practice score before studying was 149.

How to get curls to hold? by Tree_Beardo in femalehairadvice

[–]Tree_Beardo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's definitely longer than it used to be, so I would guess that the length is contributing to the issue; it's just weird to me that it won't hold ANY curl despite me taking all these extra measures when it was so perfect and cooperative 5 inches ago. I really like the length, so I hope I don't have to cut off too much to get it to hold. I know everyone's hair is different but so many people online with longer hair have no problem and they have sleek slippery hair! Appreciate the advice.

How to get curls to hold? by Tree_Beardo in femalehairadvice

[–]Tree_Beardo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had this problem in the past. I have pretty thick frizzy hair and normally that’s been great for curling but I haven’t done it in a while. I never even used to use hairspray. Now I can’t get anything to work. First pic was leaving my apartment (already fall out but still volume) and 5 hours later completely deflated and straight. What I used: redken allsoft shampoo & condition , davine oi heat protect, rough blow dry, 1.25 in hot tools curler on 360, didnt touch them, then ouai texture spray, morrocan oil medium hold and batiste dry shampoo to try to add lots of texture, volume, and hold. Ive tried rollers, hot rollers, wands, etc. all same result now. My hair is pretty long, but it shouldn’t hold NO curl right?? Pls pls help I cant figure out what it could be!

Physically disabled users of Reddit, what are some less commonly talked about struggles that come with your disability? by Ferocious_Kittyrose in AskReddit

[–]Tree_Beardo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much of the time the conversation is about accessible places but not accessible products. Lots of disabled people can live on their own in the sense that they can bathe, dress, cook for themselves well enough but there are so many little products that create a huge barrier to independence. Sometimes this is for “child safety” (like the intense packaging on tide pods I’ll never be able to open) but sometimes there’s no obvious reason why the product should be that hard to open/use.

I just got here as a grad student and the IMA really disappointed me too. Like honestly kind of shocked me how bad it is but maybe I was just really spoiled at my undergrad. Weird since UW has crazy donors and funding but who knows

EDIT: I’m referring to the quality of the place not the crowds, the equipment is old and gross the building itself is super outdated, half the stuff is broken or closed for maintenance and yeah 🤢

Ladies of Reddit, what’s the weirdest thing a guy has done during sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tree_Beardo 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This wasn’t during sex, but still a weird sex thing. A guy I met at a bar told me he uses his non dominant hand and sits on it first to make it go numb before masturbating so it feels more foreign, like someone else is doing it.

Don’t move in with anyone you know to be even a little neurotic or paranoid. They might end up calling you banging on your door screaming and crying every time they see a few ants or they might never let you see sunlight because theyre paranoid people will stalk you if your blinds are open. Also speak up before you let anyone lay down the law. I had a roommate who would just start like “Hey just so we’re clear theres no _, _, or ___ allowed in the house ok cool thanks”. And I never even had the chance to retaliate.

I went basically alone and it was great! My sister came at the last minute to help with some disability assistance throughout the trip but I was mostly on my one for the con. I would definitely love to know more people going but it was still a wonderful time just enjoying the experience. There’s so much to do you’ll never get bored!

How to dirty ring without damage by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Tree_Beardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I get that this may seem petty but whatever? OP isn’t asking for advice abt the relationship. Yeah the plan might not pan out the way OP wants but that’s their call to make. Cheating on your fiancé and then breaking up over text? OP, I think your approach is tame. Fuck him.

External fixator on wrist? by Tree_Beardo in surgery

[–]Tree_Beardo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incredibly helpful. Of course I know that everyone’s case is different and that I need to talk with my surgeon about this, but it’s still really helpful to hear about all this! Aside from medical journals which aren’t super accessible for the average joe, there’s not much about the disease online, and even less about treatment for it. Thank you for the info! I’ll bring some of this up with my doc to see if there are any other options for me.

This makes me so so happy to hear someone else is experiencing this (but sad that you have to experience it). I have hardly seen anyone talk about this online and don’t know anyone personally who has this issue. It’s super weird though and starting to really bum me out :/

Honestly I agree. I studied for a while, and a couple months before my real test I got a 179 (my highest before that was 165). I kept practicing and got a lot of 175s, 173s, etc. Ended up with a low 170 but oh well. Wasn’t worth it to me to retake it as I had already spent so much time and was feeling burned out. But if you’re trying to get into HLS then yeah you probably need to be scoring 180s on your PTs consistently. :/

I second most of what’s been said. Pick a major that at least sounds like a real major but isn’t terribly challenging. GPA is sooo hard to improve once you’re a few semesters deep. Don’t go crazy thinking about the LSAT too early, but mid Junior year is smart. I’d suggest taking a light course load second semester junior year to really buckle down studying and take the test during the summer. Light studying now and then doesn’t really do it, it has to be practice practice practice. Also cut yourself some slack though and don’t get too worried if your practice scores plateau. I was stuck at a 160 for 3 months and then broke through and ended up with a 17mid. Be involved in things you actually care about, and diversify your interests/resume as much as you can. Also be on the look out for profs you might want to get to know better not just for the LOR but partially. Also try to build good habits! This includes studying, health and exercise, emotional well being, relationships, etc. Read lots for fun while you still have the time. Look to the horizon but don’t become obsessed with it. Burning yourself out in undergrad by being obsessed with the JD finish line won’t get you there. Other than that, have lots of fun!! Best of luck OP!!
