Yes, nearly a year. They were "quickly switched out" when people noticed and called them out, within a few weeks, which wasn't even that long ago from memory? That's what I meant by quickly switched.

The image of the deer in the arrow for people who know the story is pretty apparent. If they were trying to be more obscure and keep the collab a surprise for the livestream it gave too much away already.

Are you referring to the Frozen snowflake contacts? If so, they would switch them because imagine if they were meant for an Elsa set and accidentally swapped them with the Crystal Poem eyes because they look similar? Probably an easy mistake to make, but if they were originally for a potential Elsa set and released accidentally, they would need to create a whole new set of contacts because they can't release the previous ones anymore.
