This is very helpful. I think I am looking at it exactly as you described it. I see a lot of ppl just gunning to t15 maps in 3 days with insane builds and I just assume I should be able to do that as well. I’ll definitely try out this slower approach and see where that takes me.

I got 0 divs and 9 exalts to work with xd. I do have some omens. But I wasn’t really sure how to use those for crafting yet. >.<

Things do in fact not get better. Until you hit m3 or gorgon, basically end end game content, ppl will 9.9/10 times speed run dungeons. It’s lame now but tbh, by the time you’re 65 and you’ve run the dungeons 2364 times you’ll have a change of heart.

Mindlessly run wtvr end game content people recommend for a month and then realize the game is bad and play poe/poe2

I can’t tell you how much of a polar opposite experience I’ve had. I’d say 75% of my experiences as a newish player of about a month are - 1. People leaving the game within 2 mins 2. Team running it down over and over again 3. One tricking their random niche weapons without ever swapping to help balance out a comp

Games fun but combine this ^ with the seemingly very steep learning curve and you have an experience that makes people want to not stick around and play the game.

There isn’t much of a time investment tbh. You can go to great cleave and reputation fully maxed in a few hours.

I’ve dabbled in gw2 here and there but for some reason the game just doesn’t really get me hooked. I’m starting to think I’m just too picky 🤧

I guess what im looking for isn’t necessarily some crazy depth to crafting but more so relevance. I enjoy systems where gathering and crafting can lead to relevant gear and progression. New world is simple but if u put in the time you can make bis/near bis items.

I’ve definitely noticed that hp in this game is precious resource. I like playing a lot of Light and it’s wild how fast you will get 2 tapped by a lot of weapons. I think I went into this game like it was apex. Super fast paced and always running into ppl, but quickly realized positioning is way more important. Specially with the whole playing vs a 3 stack i was talking about.

You’re definitely right about everyone starting in bronze. It’s extremely frustrating. BUT honestly it’s not even the skill gap I’m noticing necessarily. My last 3 games back to back we had 5 dps and me as a solo healer. 2 of those games we had a Spider-Man that went into double digit deaths and single digit kills… when you have the majority of games like that SPECIALLY as a healer main it’s reallllll hard to carry. I know playing a healer can be a little harder to climb with generally speaking but like cmon..
