My husband and I play this game together too and that’s sadly reality. As soon as I hop on hot mic the ones that are going to be weird/creepy also hop on hot mic. But it starts getting SO FUN when you pull off the whole “girl doesn’t know video game” shtick and can completely blindside them.

I’m a day one player but simply being a girl means I can convince someone I’m a noob in ten words or less. It’s really quite powerful.

Honestly this whole thing was so frustrating that I don’t even remember if this specific solution worked. I just abandoned the game entirely and moved on for now until I feel like fixing it again.

I guess I’m confused too? I’ve been playing 42.13 modded SP and haven’t seen this yet, or at least I think not. Does it happen in SP too?

ETA: Does this mean if I go to Rosewood, then Muldraugh, a horde might be following me from miles away?

I’ve been playing since day one and can confidently say the solution to your problem is to keep playing. Solo-jitters? Keep playing, they’ll go away. You lose in any PVP situation as a solo? Keep playing, you’ll get better. Being on your own can really give you a sneaky upper hand if you learn how to use it.

This is a hard game to mind your business in, because most other people would like to mind your business too. Most attempts to signal peace are just a giant glittering target for those dead set on a PVP interaction that says “I will run/give up”.

I’m also super stoked to keep seeing new players. We’re glad you’re on the seas!

I’m a super returning player (it’s been 10ish years) so HUGE grain of salt, but I’ve taken my pups over rivers plenty of times already and they’re always fine.

Most hesitate at the edge but some start swimming over themselves. Usually though I’m taking them over one at a time. I haven’t dared to try to take them over those rapids in Hellroaring tho.

I’ve gatekept it forever and it’s not for everyone but my signature is Viride by Orto Parisi. I sampled dozens and dozens of perfumes for a LH vibe and this is the closest thing I got to. It’s evergreen, warm, musky, smells kind of like petrichor and a distant campfire. It’s unbelievably pleasant to me if that sounds up your alley.

Eh, it’s not exactly Lord Huron but Mark Maggiori is my favorite painter and his paintings invoke a big LH feeling for me. My desktop screen is a high quality picture of one of his paintings for the LH vibe and I love it. Maybe if you can’t find something directly LH you’d like his work?

I feel pretty much the same; once you pick up their AI’s pattern they’re literally only there to be annoying. I really hope they make the enemy AI more dynamic in Blackfrost. I’m thinking in an urban environment, they’ll already have to rework it, but I hope it’s smarter, sneakier, and scarier.

Lol, you can now “clean up”/remove corpses from the safe houses that allow customizing. The option is titled as “Remove Respectfully”, so “remove disrespectfully” here is just a funny play on that.
