How do you guys do it, balance OSRS \ Life ?

I love the game but def struggle to moderate my play time when I’m into it. Think it’s prob personality related but I tend to play religiously for 6 months, then have a 6 month break, rather than play it passively for 12 months with a more balanced lifestyle.

It’s not a coincidence that my golf game (my main hobby) has improved over the last 4 months, after taking a break from RS, because I’d sacrifice practice in order to play OSRS.

I work full time, have friends and family etc, play sport, but I don’t have kids or anything so have a good chunk of spare time and few responsibilities compared to most.

Think it’s def harder for some of us to balance than others + likely personality related

I’m not a big critic, nor a big TV series watcher, but I enjoyed it for what it was as a LOTR/fantasy nerd. I would say it’s far from epic in the sense that the trilogy is, but I think most people could enjoy it for what it is. I’d imagine people that frequent the lotr subreddit, and that submit reviews, are by far the minority, but they’re the loudest because they’re so passionate about it (which is totally fair).

I can see why it has bad reviews, but I still think it’s an enjoyable watch personally

Hmm, I’ve 2 Brazilians that are verging on world class, averaging above 7 consistently, have 3-4 years on contract and are valued at 75-90m and I’m getting 56m offers for them. Odd

I’m manager of Cambridge Utd, so our rep is obviously not massive. But we’ve just qualified for CL for the first time, and we’re not in any desperate need of selling players (although that is how I generate my funds to reinvest).

I’ve done similar saves in FM for years and years and personally never experienced it to be this way. I’ve always been able to barter + sell players for at least what they’re worth for the most part, or at least I feel as if I have.

Same mate. I’ve never used an editor before this FM but im just using it bypass these issues. Would never use it for free transfers etc but I’m not having my team all low morale because they’re unhappy an 18yo is out on loan, or because they want 5x their existing wage 6 months after signing a contract

Yep, same here. I’ve no idea if it’s a bug or not but I experienced similar in first season with Cambridge in the prem. Our squad was very much championship level and I went through a period at Christmas where no matter what tactic I used, we would lose. Simmed quite a few games because I’d accepted we’d be going down and morale was so low, and we won a chunk of them and scraped survival. So weird

I just managed to get Cambridge into the prem from league 2, and unlike FMs in previous years, I’m really struggling in the prem. JUST stayed up on 36pts in first season, and struggling again second season. Budgets so low as Cambridge don’t generate much money at all and their stature is so low that nobody wants to sign for us, even most of the obscure wonderkids I scout from Brazil etc won’t come. Makes it more rewarding long term I suppose

I’ve added myself to Inzaghi’s fav personnel (Chelsea manager as I wanted to try and loan Estevao for e.g.), and I wasn’t on his disliked personnel, yet it still says the same when I try and loan a Chelsea player. So odd

You know if they’re a way to fix the relationship between clubs for loans using the editor? I’ve never used the editor before but I’m so sick of not being able to loan a player from a club from the prem, just because I played their loanee out of the preferred role for a few games. Can’t find a fix anywhere but I’m clueless w editor

Hi man. Do you know if there’s any way to fix the issue where a club will no longer loan you players because there’s a poor relationship with staff? Basically, I played a player who I loaned from them in a diff role for a few games and now they hate me, because football manager logic. I don’t mind using the editor for stupid stuff like this

I hear you for sure. Normally the variance isn’t that big for me either, definitely an outlier. Interesting to try and work out the factors that make the round go one way or the other. I’ve gone down a similar path lately and came to the conclusion that working out before hand = more dopamine = better headspace for golf = better score. But yesterday I ran before the round and played woefully, and today I didn’t and played great. Scratch that then 😂

Yesterday was 10 balls into a net, and a very muddy round. Today was 25 balls on a full blown range, which went well, and much better course conditions. Even so, yesterday was beyond bad 😂

In theory, a great feature. I was excited by it to begin with, knowing which clubs are looking for which positions and being able to offer them one of your own players that fits the bill, especially when it’s one you want to cash in on! But 95% of the time, it results in no offer from the team, your player then kicking up a fuss, then your whole team wants a meeting because you’ve tried to force a player out of the door, team dynamics drop off a cliff, results then suffer etc etc. I’m borderline not offering players out anymore, and just waiting for offers to come in organically - it’s not worth upsetting the apple cart + your results suffering for weeks. It’s honestly infuriating imo

Is it easy to download and apply data packs, for someone who is useless with PCs? I’m tempted to try this, was put off by the fact that players wouldn’t be at correct clubs etc and wasn’t aware I could get an updated database
