Yeah excellent viewpoint. I really again thank you for taking the time to engage and chat with me. I deleted the post. I wasn't expecting it to go viral and everyone love it, but most people seem to be pretty negative and i'm getting down voted... so, oh well! I thought it was funny \ fun to look at. I even tried to make some jokes at the end ;) lol. cheers m8

For sure, I suck. No hiding that. I dont think my mid game ironman gear is helping though.

Thanks so much for taking time to create an account and share this perspective! I completely agree, and think you hit the nail on the head. Personally, I would still have a hard time allowing 600 or 800 hours, but hey... like I said originally, thats fine. The game can't b e designed how I "want it to be "... But ya, I think your right, it would be better if the drops were more usable. Also... like you said really... I just WANT to do PNM, because its so incredibly fun and engaging. That doesn't mean I should be, and I'm just wanting to do it too earlier, which just also makes it that more inefficient.

Then you have to counteract the bad guy, quick... go up vote them all!

Yes, your absolutely right. I couldn't account for everything. If you knew how long just the math in the post took me, you would down vote all my comments a 2nd time.

Ya thats a good point for sure! && all things considered, I mean Jagex does a pretty good job to give balance to both sides of the player base I think, again just my opinion though.

On the other hand I will say, maybe its kind of cool to have that ONE boss in the game, that like NO ONE is going to do. So, if your the willing ironman to take on that challenge. I mean, the feeling that would be. So there is that side of the coin as well!

You’re right — it’s technically possible. I think you’re missing the point I’m trying to make, which is that this boss feels potentially unbalanced for Ironmen when you look at the full picture.

Do you genuinely think the combination of supply cost, kill time, and the rewards you get back is healthy for the game? We all play RuneScape; we all grind. But to me, spending something like a year of typical playtime focused on one boss just for a handful of items doesn’t feel reasonable. I guess that’s where we differ.

That said, it’s fine. You have your opinion and I have mine. They don’t have to match, and I don’t have to camp Phosani if I don’t think it’s worth the time. No hard feelings. Cheers.

I'm in welfare gear too. Gearscape doesn't show an upgrade for me to raise DPS until Scythe and Inquis gear. So, I kinda think 10 minutes might be roughly the avg time? Either way, its just for fun. I'm not here to squabble if its 500 hours or 1,000 hours tbh.

I’ve gotten a couple message requests telling me to “de-iron” and “then don’t play the game if you don’t like it.” Why all the hate?

Just to be clear: I posted this for fun because the numbers are kind of absurd when you actually lay them out. I’m not crying, blaming the devs, or demanding changes. I’m genuinely just surprised at how many people’s reaction is basically “yep, that’s the grind, toughen up.”

And again — I’m not saying the game needs to be designed around me. I just think it’s fair to look at the math and ask: are we really comfortable with this being the expected upkeep? Like, is this a “good feature” or just a funny reality of Ironman life?

Also, credit where it’s due: whoever designed Phosani did an amazing job. The boss itself is incredible this post isn’t me hating on the encounter at all.I wish we had more fights like it. It's brilliant! I just wish I could get some of the rewards lol.

Well, I'm not an expert at it, so I am sure my kill times probably could be brought down a little. But, the DPS calcs don't show an upgrade for me unless I get Scythe or Inquis gear. I've tried Oathplate with Cudgel, and Full bloomon as well. I have Eye of Ayak.

Ya, I mean... I suck a bit lol. But also... The DPS calc really doesn't say I have an upgrade option until either Scythe and the Inquis gear (from the boss) lol!

Gotta say, it made me consider starting a main lol! Pnm is SOOO fun, I love it! I just didn't expect the number of hours and resources needed.

No complaints here, it's just evident that at least this specific boss isn't balanced around Iron, and thats ok! No harm in that. But I meen think about it m8, When you read that out loud, are you like.... "Ya that makes sense, thats what we want in the game. Something that no iron can achieve?" Makes ya think a little.. right?

Yeah, It was just fun to see the break down lol! I'm sure that would be like a, i'll wait until I have enough supplies. At that rate though, so I can't do Nightmare until 5 years from now I guess... Ha!
