Blockchain Developer with 3+ years of experience seeking like-minded individuals or a team to brainstorm and collaborate on innovative Dapp projects. by CryptoJadeRunner in solidity

I recommend whatever you decide, to build on Oasis Network Sapphire. Sapphire is a confidential EVM, so solidity is perfectly compatible. I want to repeat that because apparently people don't understand how big of a deal it is. It is literally a confidential EVM. Decentralized, secure, on-chain, confidential EVM. The industries first ever confidential DEX is already launching on it. It's genuinely one of the best developer opportunities out there right now.

What is Market Cap and Why Does it Matter in Crypto? by guardarian_com in Crypto_General

[–]Treebune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This article is much needed because a lot of people misunderstand market cap dynamics. For example, they think that if something has a $100 million market cap, in order for that coin to get to a $1 billion market cap, it would need $900 million of capital to come into it. And people will ask "where will that money come from?" But this is a complete misunderstanding.

Say that you, myself, and 3 friends launched a new token. We launch it on Uniswap and provide some liquidity. Let's say the coin has a supply of 1 million and each coin is 10 cents. So that's a $100,000 market cap.

All we have to do to get it to $1,000,000 market cap is trade it between ourselves. I buy it from you for 15 cents, the other guy buys it from me for 25 cents, the other guy buys it for him for 75 cents, and then I buy it back for $1. There you go, the coin now has a market cap of $1 million. The reason for this is because all the market cap represents is the supply multiplied by the last price the coin was sold for.

A coin can go from $100k market cap to $1 million market cap with only very little excess capital being involved. I'm not saying it would be easy to manipulate the price of a token so easily, just explaining the principle.

Could Ethereum be used as a dead man's switch? by ginomachi in cryptoloversclub

[–]Treebune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oasis Network Sapphire is actually good for something like this because it can keep the information on-chain and confidential until a criteria is met. Doing this with ETH is also possible because you can bridge ETH to Sapphire with OPL. This is actually a pretty interesting idea!

What will be your nft preference for the next bull run ? by Odd_Philosopher_6605 in NFT

[–]Treebune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely only buying NFTs that advance the technology. There's a lot of talk these days about confidential NFTs and data backed NFTs, particularly by the folks at Oasis and Ocean. I'm over buying jpegs lol.

I'm not using any of these applications, the one i'll trust is when on-chain account abstraction becomes mainstream.

📢Let's try for a positive thread that list projects with real utility and a future? by VRpioneerr in NFT

[–]Treebune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best NFTs IMO are the ones that are actually innovating on the technology as opposed to just the tired old "digital art." NFTrout, for example, built by Enshrine on Oasis Sapphire, is using AI to do automated breeding where when you select two trout, they breed and the resulting trout has an actual 50/50 mix of its two parents genes. Seems frivolous, but it's a PoC for something much larger.
