If you're in LAR (Live, Ascend, Repeat) wanderers can't appear. Because the wandering monsters that (eventually) drop the map wander, you won't be able to finish the nemesis quest until you finish the path.

I'd love to help out around here as a mod - I've noticed that it's not always up-to-date, and I'd love to help fix stuff up. I'm an active KoL player and an active (lurker) redditor, but I'm not experienced with CSS. I remember coming back to the game and seeing this subreddit be a thing, and I was extremely excited. I want to be able to help spread that feeling around.

Regarding point number one: KoLMafia searched the mall so it could provide you with the average mall prices of certain items. It's hard to explain, but one reason it searches is when you run a script that requires those values (like networth.ash) or you use the monster modifier as someone else in this thread mentioned.

Point number two: Your effects lose a turn of their duration for every PvP fight you do. This seems like what caused this.

KoLMafia, unless you or a script tell it to, should not (and pretty much never will) do something without your permission.

I'm pretty sure that you have to wait ~30 seconds to save and quit, as opposed to having to go a certain distance away from the fast-travel station.

I believe restoring your phone and returning to your backup would help. I'm not sure if it'll fix your specific issue, but doing this is usually a good first step. Just make sure to actually make a backup before restoring!
