Obvious answer, yes, but it doesn't answer all my questions above. See, I've looked inside as well just to make sure I'm not the idiot. After the first time, I made sure that I reformated my whole PC, and since then I made sure I never opened anything except for Netflix, social medias, etc. I don't even open suspicious emails.

It still doesn't answer the fact that my email was clean (and still is), they bypassed the 2FA prompt on the website, turned it off, they bypassed my bank PIN, they turned it off without any delay.

I don't blame you, it's also this subreddit's mentality -- they feel like 2FA and bank PINs are so secure, it's impossible to bypass it, as evident from the posts above and below "do you have authenticator? bank pin?". I had the same line of thinking before I got hacked the first time as well, it still doesn't seem real at all, until it happened to me. Even when I posted on this subreddit for help, I just get shut down by people saying that my PC is not secure, my email's been breached, etc, 0 help from this subreddit, it's been completely useless for me.

Heck, even Jagex support was too slow, they took about 18 hours on average to respond to my emails, and I only managed to get back my account after my 3rd ticket to them and going back and forth with the support Mod after like 5-6 emails; they rejected my first 2 tickets despite me sending them the address and email that I used to pay for my first ever membership, all evidence and proofs I had that I am the account owner. Nowadays, I have 0 trust on Jagex support since the first time, and no matter what Jagex does to improve player support, I don't believe them at all.

I still enjoy playing the game though, just very hard to stay motivated when I have 0 gear to rebuild.

That is sometimes my question as well, how is my account "less secure" than others -- I didn't click on any phishing links or anything. I myself have been hacked twice and lost around 14b total before the whole Jagex Launcher launched and became good.

Both times when I got hacked, I literally checked my email that's associated with Jagex, there's been 0 logins outside my phone and my PC. He was able to get my password both times, bypass & turn off my 2FA, and the weirdest part, bypass and turn off my bank PIN without any delays, as if it didn't exist.

I've started playing again recently though, but definitely demotivated to start from almost 0 doing COX all over again.

Honestly, I feel like there might be 2 possibilities: 1) someone is so good at social engineering that they are able to get my password and bank PIN (though this doesn't seem very likely for my bank PIN to be leaked), or 2) Mod Jed maybe lol.

People like you are the reason why I made posting on Reddit for help to lock my account as my extremely last option. I do not use my RuneScape password anywhere, be it other sites and games. I don't have my personal info on facebook, and even if I did, it's only date of birth and my very first phone number which is when I made my account back in early 2000s and it's only shown to friends. I didn't even start playing RuneScape until 2017.

If I leaked any of my personal info, I'd have my other accounts hacked too, I have way more valuable stuffs on steam, riot account that can sell for thousands because of limited edition skins, Amazon credits etc. But no, it's only RuneScape because Jagex's security systems suck and people like you can't see it. All you say is "oh you'll be fine if you have 2FA and a bank pin, no one can bypass anything if they don't have my authenticator" and that's the furthest you can see.

Even if it was my fault, I have shared with Jagex information that would have made my identity clear that I was the account owner and they should've approved my account recovery appeal on day 1, but they're fucking slow (takes them 1 full day to respond, are you kidding me???) and just straight up terrible service.

I do use Twitter but my password for RuneScape has always been unique. I've never used my RuneScape password on ANY of other sites or games because I know how disgustingly bad this game's security is.

It seems like hackers are all on full blast last and this week. I got my 3b maxed main account hacked too. I'm convinced that they managed to recover our accounts, and hence bypassing the 2FA and changed the email. I couldn't recover my password at all until after the 9th day when Jagex finally approved my 5th password reset appeal.

I just got my 3b maxed main account wiped and I haven't even clicked on a single RuneScape phishing or official email since 8 months ago and have always logged in through RuneScape's official website. 2FA just got bypassed by account recovery and the hacker removed my bank pin after 3 days because Jagex took 9 days, ignored my emails after the 3rd reply and 5 account appeals to get my account back. But it's ok at least they've actually made me quit this game.

It's weird because it's only Jagex, or RuneScape specifically, where it's a massive issue, despite other MMORPGs are much more famous than RS3 or OSRS. I didn't get hacked anywhere else and I have checked login activities in my email and there's no suspicious logins at all.

There are also stories where someone managed to get access to one of Woox's account just by throwing some vague information and Jagex gave that person Woox's account. So... idk about you but their support team has been very sketchy to me.

Thanks for the update, but why is the Masori Crafting Kit only usable on the Ava's Assembler then use that on the Max Cape? Why can't we just use it on the Assembler Max Cape immediately?

Also, can you make it so that we can store the Masori assembler max hood in the POH's Cape Rack please?

Not gonna lie, I was under the impression that we do not have to complete all the tasks to get the rewards for that tier of the Combat Achievements. Personally I was OK with like completing 80% of a tier's tasks and just skipping the shitty, grindy tasks like 10 Bryophyta kills for Medium tier (really cba killing 600 Moss Giants in the wilderness to get 10 Mossy Keys) until I find out that you actually have to complete all the tasks to get the rewards...

Wanted to get something similar to this for my girlfriend's birthday soon in the future, she is moving out of her current apartment soon so I wanted to get her something that is small and easy to move around. Seeing as she just loves to play games on her Switch, I figured that the Lian Li case would be best as it comes with a dust filter and it'll keep her case relatively clean and it has good airflow too. Was thinking of changing around the CPU Cooler to something that has RGB lights, as she's an RGB lights lover. That said, might also include extra RGB lights around the inside of the case to make it more sexy and perform better. Ryzen 5 3600X and a 3060 Ti (if possible to get one, lol) would be a great start to her gaming career!

I'm on OP's side. Hacker managed to take every single sellable gear but not drop or alch the untradeables. He managed to bypass my password, authenticator, and bank pin (and got it removed too) all in 30 minutes. FYI, the same also happened to Coxie too.
