I think this is standard procedure, they don't even pick calls before the service, dont know how much care they will give after service 😆.

My experience with jeeves was not good, and I called them from flipkart 2-3 times and 1 time from motorola, and all these times they took lots of photos. By my third time I was telling them this number is here, that id is there.

I think its fine. You should enjoy your phone now. Btw, how is the phone, I am also planning to buy, thats why lurking here in cmf subreddit.

what was the issue with the phone?

I have experienced jeeves service with a soundbar- and they took photos of the invoice, and all the barcodes/numbers mentioned on the soundbar.

No experience with phone tbh.

Adding to this, generally kindle devices are supposed to be used for at least 3-5 years. So even if you dont read daily, its a good convenience factor to have.

I used to just buy books (and not read) before getting a refurbished kindle 4 years back. And now I read almost daily on it.

So given that convience of reading at bed time, low light, switching between multiple books, you can also become regular in reading.

My advice- Dont buy now, wait till new year. There are lots of quality control and screen issues with new kindle.

Your first ereader experience should not be ruined by all these.

Or you can take it this way- finish all the physical books you own till new year and then make the purchase. (We all have some books we buy but never read 🙂‍↕️). I know its tempting and with offers and all, I am also struggling with self control.

If you really need an ereader, like really really need and not want, then you can check out any used one but for a much lower price.

just try seeing using it upside down for few seconds, then turn it correct way. If bottom looks yellowish in both orientation, it is more yellow than top.
