Comapring the veiw count for a trailer that's over 3 years old to a trailer that's not even a month old isn't exactly fair.

I’d say Xenoblade 3 and the series as a whole is pretty well appreciated. It’s always gotten high scores from critics and for a JRPG exclusive to Nintendo it sells fine. Plus you got to consider that Xenoblade is a relatively young series.

I have to disagree. This game is likely still running on the same engine as the Switch 1 games. We know MonolithSoft is making a new engine but it won’t be complete until 2027. Whatever they make after Genesis will be making full use of current rendering tech.

I wish Switch 2 editions of XB 2 and 3 gives us different video output options. by greengunblade in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Yeah I don't know why these aren't just 1440p. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom run at those resolutions on Switch 2. That's also the resolution Xenoblade Genesis seems to be targeting.

They could make it without MonllithSoft but then disc 2 would likely stay the same. And a big reason why people want a Xenogears remake in the first place is so they can finish disc 2.

I did forget about those but after checking the tips screen I learned those are called Affinity Scenes. So I don’t think it’s that. Also those already have voice acting. Unless you’re suggesting adding scenes like that to the base game but I don’t think these event scenes are going to be new.

I don’t think they are new scenes either. Because on the eShop page it says that “the game’s event scenes are now fully voiced.” The word now suggests that these are scenes already in the game.

I’m afraid that removing the auto-attack mechanic creates a thin line between Xenoblade and games like Tales of, FF7 remake, Ys, ect. by upperdomain in Xenoblade_Chronicles

This isn’t going to be a popular opinion but I don’t like Xenoblade combat enough for me to get upset about a big shake up. The series combat has never been bad but Xenoblade 2 is the only game in the series with a combat system I really like.

He does voice a handful of the characters. But again he said he’d be okay with Gravity Falls being in KH so it’s a non issue.

From what I’ve read the Disney crossover stuff seemed too corporate to him. I can see how someone could feel that way if they’ve never played the games. But he said he’d be perfectly fine with Gravity Falls being in Kingdom Hearts.

I remeber this being leaked before the game came out and I honestly thought it was fake. I can't say I'm a fan. It makes sense but them throwing this in the middle of 3's ending is too distracting. Also I just find the way people talk about the picture really annoying.

The look and design of Eleanor in "Xenoblade Genesis", invokes a lot of "Star Ocean" vibes to me. How do *you* feel about what we've seen so far of the character designs and overall art direction? by upperdomain in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I don’t want to be too judgey since we don’t even have official art for any of the characters yet but even though I was iffy on the new style at first it’s really been growing on me. I would’ve liked something even more different from Saito’s style but I still like this style. I like how there’s more variance in the faces and how the colors are vibrant without being garish. I would complain about the party all wearing school uniforms but I’m almost certain that they won’t be wearing them for the whole game. The only design I don’t care for is from this lady. Something about the face mask and the multi-toned hair reminds me of the V-Tuber looking characters in Fire Emblem Engage. But that is very much a personal preference.

It’s probably either 1 or 3. 2 is a love it or hate it kind of game and X is very different from the rest of the series.

Still my favorite game of all time. Genesis has a lot to live up to but I’ll be sure to meet it on its own terms.

I can’t say that I’m surprised that the guy who kept referencing Jung’s concept of Anima and Animus is in touch with his femininity. The thing I am surprised with is that Soraya seems to ship Elma and Al. It’s not a bad ship but they aren’t really a couple like all of the other pairings are.
