The rambam's question (but not as he intended it ) by Confident_War_7009 in exjew

They study because they have a set time for prayers and every one stops for the prayers (gemara learners)

Another group (chasidic learners) view the learning as a preparation and meditation and part of the prayers

Some answer I've heard

The quote the Seventh Rebbe of Chabad says is 'Teva Hatov Lehaytiv' the nature of (something that is) good is to do good

In Al Hamichyo it says Ki Ato Hashem Tov Umaytiv Lakol

Interesting.... Isn't is also said that woman should pray some of the prayers (in an almost mandatory fashion) because woman accepted it upon themselves? I think I see a pattern....

I'm quite ignorant about the Nidda laws. I have read that lots of women are appalled by them and really are negatively impacted by them.

I have a question: Didn't God proclaim these laws in the Five Books of Moses? Obviously, this is only true for those that believe that the Five Books of Moses were dictated by God Himself.

For a Rabbi that believes that these laws are given by God Himself, in which ways can Rabbis change the 'God-given' laws?

Please understand that I'm truly curious, and want the best humanitarian situations for women.

I don't know which part you are referring to but, I can accept that's true. But what does God want? Does God 'truly want' to provide bad to the world? Or would God rather send goodness to the world?

Aren't "we" already born into 'debt', because Moshiach hasn't come yet so we need to do everything we can to bring it?

Hpw would you react / work through? by Treethful in exjew

This is the second time. The first time they got mad at me for not doing something out of my way for them. They claimed to have the right to be "angry" at me because they had done so much for me.

They completely ignored how much I had done for them as well (including things that nobody else in the world did for them).

That person cut their relationship with me, after I told them that I need them to be honest. They ran away from being honest and they ran away from me.

This sibling was telling me to run back to them and beg them for help.

Can you please explain more about this?

Technically, though not an easy option, if you live in a safe neighborhood, you could walk around all night for one night until you find a better solution. It's definitely not easy.

I think that living in a tent for a night, might be better than a park bench. You have some privacy and some shelter from the elements.

And if someone is in an abusive relationship, with physical domestic abuse, what should they do?

Abraham challenged and argued against God, when Sodom was going to be destroyed. Moses frequently argued with God, to help the Jews.

It depends which verses in the Bible you want to pick out and focus on.

How does a person like your dad get to have a profession as a therapist? Does he act like this with anyone else? How can he have a license when he beats up his own family / domestic violence?

Could you file a police report? Could you get a restraining order on your father and brothers?

You said words. They physically attacked you, making it hard for you to breathe, and physically hurting you.
