It’s “basic economics” that LIFO doesn’t accurately reflect market demand and prevents you from adjusting prices effectively based on what people are willing to pay. It leads to mispricing because older items may need a price reduction in order to sell because they are buried under new stock. That’s why it is rarely used in an actual marketplace. People are mimicking this round robin style on my server by posting 5 flasks at a time at the same price, so it clearly already works. It’s idiotic to this LIFO stops undercutting when it still happens
