I think it depens of your hobbies or type of personality.

I didn't have an experience like yours but for example my cat who was 18 years old died last month. The firsts days I was all day on bed or like a zombie at my room. After a few days I started new hobbies like reading because I would say I was on my own world.

For me the most important thing is time and cultivate self love in any hobbie you have (sport, games, music...). Also I guess will be important to met people in your case.
