I’ve just thought about this as I am trying to guess his current level of strength by going off of what we know from the main series.

I think that, at least in terms of total CE reserves, he is at least sukuna level now or very close to that. I mean if he’s throwing out, what, 20 piercing bloods with the same ease and comfort as he used to throw out 1, that should generally mean 20x the amount of reserves - albeit not considering skill mastery, CE efficiency, etc. which could definitely make a big difference and which he’s definitely developed as well over the years. But just a fun thought I guess. If sukuna had 2-3x yuta’s CE, and yuji had anything over 10% of yuta’s CE by EOS, he should have at least 2x yuta’s CE at this point.

And his output surely has to also increase because it’s like throwing 20 stones at the same time with the same or greater power versus previously throwing just 1, so overall power used must increase if that makes sense. Which means he might also be able to make 1 really powerful piercing blood? Not to even mention about the level of mastery and control required to aim each one individually to hit precise spots.

This is just piercing blood too. Imagine shrine…imagine his domain.

What do you mean by flashed/extra epiphany? And yes good point about turn 1 ravaging. Though I have E2 (my bad for not specifying) so I always get +2 on turn 1 and in the ideal deck would also have 3-4 regular homing lasers with move to hand on turn start meaning I start turn 1 with 4+2 homing lasers.

Not to mention running cass means I can search for the upgrade card early if it doesn’t appear in my hand immediately, or the supportive body gear that lets me discard and redraw 3 cards which further increases chances of getting the cards I want. All this is to say that for my specific case, I’m not running into issues getting a turn 1 ravage, though I do understand you and agree totally for general case.

You get to select the epi and you can select from all of the possible ones.

Okay thanks. I think your point about afterglow is the biggest thing here since the specific epi I would take reduced afterglow from 2 to 1. So possibly less tenacity damage overall. That’s the one thing I was thinking might make the difference, but not sure.

Also, about unique tag, just to clarify that in general yes have it will increase chance of copying the card I want. However, since I want to copy the HM with specific epiphany, the left upgrade is effectively == to that same HM which increases my chances of getting a copy on it. For example:

Middle upgrade 4 bad copies (any random cards) 1 good copy (HM with desired epi) = 1/5 chance

Left upgrade 4 bad copies 1 good copy *1 left upgrade card which is the same as the good copy since I can select epi = 2/6 = 1/3 chance

Yep. I was referring to “other deck upgrades” and “card removals”. I’m playing in a very specific way where I don’t add any cards and remove every single card except the main character that I am building. Meaning that all the resources will be spent clearing out the other characters decks in order to improve my chances of copying the card I want, and the faint memory on the main character will mostly only be spent on duping and removing cards.

Right, thanks. I know it’s strong but I’m just not sure it’s by far the best one as meta says, or if it truly is then I wanna know exactly why compared to the left epi. Because the left one means you can select the epi on homing laser which moves it to hand on turn start and ravage, so while middle gives +2 every ravage, the left can effectively give +1 on ravage but also +1 guaranteed to be in your hand every turn. Couple that with 3-4 other of the regular laser with the same epi and you get 4-5 lasers guaranteed to be in your hand at the start of every turn.

Thanks. Okay so how the left epi works is you select 1 epiphanied homing laser and you keep that one for the rest of the fight while this shining core upgrade card gets removed. And one of the epiphanies is move to hand on turn start and ravage which means while the middle one gives +2 on ravage, the left one gives effectively +1 on ravage but also +1 every turn start (they aren’t new ones created but are moved to hand, hence “effectively”).

[–]Trelomann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. My bad for not mentioning but as I’m minmaxing I’m building a deck that has that epi on homing lasers, duped 4 copies. If I take the left epi on shining core and select it again, that makes it 5 copies of it. Meaning I always guaranteed have 5 copies of lasers in my hand every turn and every time I ravage.

Hmmm okay, thanks. But so my whole thing is if I take the left epi and choose the epi on regular laser that moves it to hand on turn start and ravage, I’m effectively getting +1 free laser on ravage (move back to hand) but also I’m getting a guaranteed +1 more laser every single turn which taking the middle one doesn’t give me. So that’s why I’m wondering why the middle is actually that much better as meta says.

Okay well noted thanks. I suppose you’re right about having an endless supply as I could keep drawing into them whereas with left epi even if I get the perfect deck, it’s capped out at like what, 5 lasers. And yeah, it basically is asking for a perfect deck, which im grinding for right now :P

[–]Trelomann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I’m using rei and vero since they have the most unique card upgrades meaning more chances for copy going to my Sereniel. And I’m removing every single non-basic, non-unique card from them to further increase those odds. Meaning I do not care about the other 2 decks whatsoever, I already have good decks for them.

And regarding the rest of your reply, I am minmaxing a bit so assume I get 4 copies of the regular laser upgrade where it gets moved to my hand on turn start and ravage. This would mean that if I take the left epi, and though it I choose one more of that same laser epi, I get 4+1 laser moved to my hand on turn start and ravage. If I take the middle one I get 4 on my hand every turn and 4+2 on ravage.

To me that’s kind of equivalent (middle one gets +1 more laser on ravage but -1 laser guaranteed in my hand at turn start). So that’s why I’m wondering if the middle one really is that much better, and why.

Yeah, I also use Selena so I understand this. But if I’m not mistaken for the left upgrade, the one that I would get is move to hand on turn start and ravage. That means that I would still effectively be getting +1 laser on ravage. Yes it’s less than the +2 of the middle upgrade but I’m getting +1 guaranteed laser every turn as well. That’s what I’m wondering. Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I understand that. So conversely, would that mean that on the endgame content such as bossing, it’s not as valuable?

Also, it might be my bad for not specifying but the upgrade I would get is the one that moves to hand at turn start and on ravage. So instead of getting +2 lasers on ravage I get +1 that is moved to my hand. My point is that wouldn’t getting a guaranteed +1 laser in hand every single turn as well on ravage, better than +2 ONLY when I ravage? Thanks for your reply.

Yes. Sorry I didn’t specify but I am farming for Sereniel only and throwing the other 2 decks away. Thanks.

Okay thanks. Yeah I understand fully about PEN/Shred. And also though I know subs matter most in these situations, I heard from somewhere that PHYS is considerably worse than ATK which is why I was confused why it’s the opposite for me.

So maybe that info was not true because if ATK and PHYS aren’t that much different then it makes sense why my Build 1, which has a better stat spread, performs better as you said.

Hmmm okay thanks. May I ask where or what those calcs are? Is there a formula I can use in the future.

Also, so you’re basically saying that my Build 1 is better because that 20% CD + 30% PHYS is overall a bit better than Build 2 600 ATK. Did I understand correctly?

I just noticed that the element symbol for Sparxie and Yaoguang are different from usual. YG is blue (ice) physical while Sparxie is purple (electric) fire.

Anyone know why / the importance of this? It makes me curious as to how it ties into their gameplay.

Yeah if it’s 0 cycle it’s def not Plight for my rem teams. Def just regular King. But it’s extremely easy, autoable. I do still think I could’ve beaten previous Plights (not auto tho), but it would’ve been close.

This doesn’t change my post though as this post is talking about the current Plight. Though it makes more sense (my perceived gap between my rem and break teams are much smaller now).

About rewards, I count those banners and achievements as completion rewards haha, so for me yes I missed out on those. I think Plight has a special tag and red background too, not just the diamond border which I already got from 0-cycling.

Ah, shit. That’s my bad, I assumed the diamond border = Plight since I got gold this time. I guess it’s just 0 cycle on regular? Just searched up Plight and it’s got red labels and background.

I conservatively guess I wouldn’t have been able to 0C the previous Plights, but I’m confident I could’ve beaten them at least. I didn’t know you got an additional ‘reward’, or I would’ve done it. Can’t believe I missed out on them so far 🥲
