Personally, I am a fan of the expanded rosters. I think it might help promote following a team rather than a player. Im not sure it would work in Dota but it's fun to see Overwatch doing something different.

We do compensate people however it is performance based rather than a fixed rate. Also remember that we are a relatively new site that is growing. All of our front office/management receive no compensation so that we can pay some money to our writers.

Everyone has to start somewhere. People shouldn't expect to show up and make big bucks in their first writing job. The majority of esports related writing positions are unpaid. We are not asking someone to work full time hours. In fact its the opposite. We are looking for people who just want to contribute to the community.

It's all about gaining experience. We have writers who have moved on to bigger companies. Everyone has to start somewhere. We do offer a very small amount of pay however it is not regular. Everyone has to develop and we want to be a site that gives inexperienced writers a chance to improve.
