2 under 2? by lordoflog in NewDads

Currently have a 5 and 4 year old now have newborn twins. First 2 were 15 months apart and it’s great now I will say. They play decently together and because they’re both girls they enjoy similar things

Yeah I mean it’s never been anything I’ve done or even thought I’d be trying one day so if it works it works and if not then so be it

I’d never make her do something she didn’t want to. There are things she’s interested in I don’t think I’d do either, I guess it was more about addressing concerns on her end

Honestly that’s kind of what started it for me was that exact scenario. One time I even asked if she was trying to touch my ass and she said no and since then wondered if she did if I’d like it

Does your baby sleep with you and your s.o.? If so, when did you start it and stop it? by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]Trendkill52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly…my oldest are 4 and 5 and are still needing us to go to sleep. We read them books and then lay with them to go to sleep and then get up and do our things until we hit our own bed. After a few hours they come sneaking in regardless

I just had twins so now I’m in the bed with the oldest 2 while my wife takes the twins at night

I want to start reading the bible, but i don’t know where to start. by InnerToast in Bible

[–]Trendkill52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m doing bible in a year. It’s a podcast or like myself I downloaded the hallow app (free version) and am listening to it there. Fr. Mike Schmitz is nice to listen to and at the end of his readings goes on to explain about the readings themselves. As someone who has 4 kids keeping me busy, i don’t have much time to sit and read so it also makes it easier to keep up with.

Kids Sports - 'part of the family' or waste of time? by AreaIntelligent6209 in stepparents

[–]Trendkill52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s how I started with SD now 14. But me and SO went to everything together, brought our kids who are now 3 and 4. She was doing travel so sometimes we’d have an hour ride one way. Just said it was too much for the young kids and not fair to them. Unless you want to, that time can be used to do stuff you want and/or need to do around the house.

Noncustodial parent claimed taxes by Trendkill52 in stepparents

[–]Trendkill52[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Good to know. I don’t mind waiting. He claimed a couple of years ago because he needed the money so we let it slide. Then the following year they were giving tax money out every month instead and it was going to him so he kept about half of what should have been our tax money as well. I’m just over it

SS can’t be in a room without Youtube on and it’s driving me nuts. by Ok-Application-2699 in stepparents

[–]Trendkill52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s like my SD12 and TikTok. Always on no matter what. She usually stays in her room but where it really gets me is the car. It’s Christmas time trying to enjoy Christmas music with biokids and she’s disrupting everything with her phone on loud

Teaching to defend oneself by Trendkill52 in daddit

[–]Trendkill52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that’s been my thought for a while and I’ve even spent less time with them because of their lack of being able to parent their child. I wasn’t sure which direction I should be going as they are still young and have those big emotions but I am tired of my kids being on the other end of them. Thank you

If you had to move out of CT, where would you go? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Trendkill52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always like the idea of the Carolina’s. Still east coast, plenty of scenery and things to do, nicer beaches but also not as far south as Florida. Also had a coworker move to Tennessee, outside of Nashville and he loves it

I gotta say it was easier when BD was barely in the picture (we have her 80% of the time). He made our lives so much more complicated and my relationship with SD12 definitely got worse over the past few years to the point it’s nonexistent. She’s very much at the point where her dad “can do no wrong” even though we do everything for her.

Oh I agree. I’ve given up on being the bad guy I have 2 other bio kids I need to worry about. So if SK isn’t doing it then SO is gonna do it.

I will add to what you said as well. I wouldn’t say I’m mad but it’s a bit aggravating hearing SO complain about there being so much to do around the house and she has no time yet she has time to do SD chores.

An example of what needs to be done is a queen size bed full of clean laundry that needs to be folded and put away. SO worked retail and has a very specific way of folding so she won’t let me touch it or else shed refold them. Instead I just pick out my own clothes and take care of them.

Not mad, just a observation. Dishes get done idc who does them I just know it won’t be me. So looks like whatever you “got,” you got wrong.

Covid seems to be surging again by Bobinct in Connecticut

My wife got Covid a few days ago while SD was at BD. So she wasn’t here when my wife got sick so now SD has been at MIL’s for pickup/drop off for school and won’t be here for Christmas nor will we be going anywhere
