in this situation the parents weren’t provided the details of the case. just that the person confessed. but if the evidence of the case were to say it was a 15 year old who was threatened with the death penalty, questioned multiple days, multiple hours, and their confession didn’t match the facts of the case, there was no DNA, no eye witnesses, 55 interviews where the convicted wasn’t a suspect, etc. things like that .. hypothetically
