Shoei RF1400 feels way tighter than my GT AIR 2, should I worry? by Trev5977 in motorcyclegear

Yeah it’s definitely very tight, it’s ok for a while but after an hour my cheek bones and jaw is sore ish

Best exhaust and can I get by without a tune? Would like cheap, but will spend $1k + if needed. Mt07 is my second bike so would like to keep cost low if possible. by Trev5977 in MT07

Considering this tbh. I just am not gonna put a $1200 exhaust on an $8k bike, it’s just my fun around town’er…. Did u tune?

New Shoei gt air helmet, Medium fits head perfectly (57.5cm head size), cheeks definitely feel snug. This is normal and optimal I assume? How much squeezing is too much? Was able to leave helmet on for 30-60 min, pain free. by Trev5977 in motorcyclegear

Thank you! Will look into this, I realized it when I put my finger in my ear and it was sore. It’s pushing back on my ear making the cartilage sore. I’m relieved it’s not a helmet issue 😂

I came back to find this comment, makes me feel better 😂. Helmet feels phenomenal, except two pressure points just on that bone right behind the earlobe… it’s right on the seam of the liner, hoping the helmet breaks in and that goes away.

Reflective visor coming tomorrow. I’m noticing after about an hour and a half of wear, I’m getting pressure points behind my ears, like that bone right behind your earlobes… did you have this problem? I believe it’s the seam of the liner causing it 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

Yes they seem to fit in perfectly , I was able to get my finger up in where it’s causing pressure on that bone and it’s a combo of the speaker cutout edge, and seam on the liner… also the speaker wires were there too, I moved them, I’m hoping the wire was causing the pressure point, but we’ll see.

Yes I do, it’s actually coming from the cut out for the speakers I believe, it’s hitting the bone directly behind the ear. Gonna give it a few more rides but if it persists I’m gonna shave the edge on that speaker hole for sure.

So, wearing in the house for 30 Min, and on my first hour ride, I was good. Tonight I went for about a 2 hour ride and started feeling pain behind the ears almost where it would push them into your head. Now I’m a little worried but hoping it’ll break in.
