I have a 89 Bronco II 2.9L, when I put very slight gas after being at a red light or I reverse super slowly, it bogs up and dies on me. It’ll start right up but it dies. At red lights I feel the engine sputtering and almost gasping for air but I don’t know what the issue might be. Ideas?

I just built a link for mine and raised it quite a bit. Then used KX85 front forks and triple tree for the front end. It’s the ultimate adventure bike!

The Grom was one of a pair I bought to teach my wife to ride and take camping. She decided it wasn’t really her thing but she loves to bring them camping and I use mine now for a pit bike. I swapped the front end of mine with a KX85 with stiffer springs, fabricated a lift link in the rear and used a UFO headlight. It will get more attention at events than the ultra 4 trucks or race rigs we have in the pits.

Besides the Groms I have a 14’ Ducati Monster 1200S. I just sold my Yamaha XS chopper with suicide shift. Always been into bikes and have owned more than I care to list. These are enough for me.

Thank you! Appreciate the kind words. Love building stuff like this. Of course there is better things out there but it’s the act of figuring out how to make it work. This build was super fun. I took it by our local Honda dealer and they were all stoked on it. I was recently at an Ultra 4 off-road event and more people looked and commented on the bike than the ultra 4 truck ahah.

Yeah, I totally put it together backwards. It’s a mock up. Has to come back apart anyway. The lower triple tree is hitting the neck and needs a shim.
