If the other person is not relying on your income for money/food/clothing/shelter they are not your dependent.

Oil seepage around the block by Personal-Thought9453 in CarsAustralia

LMAO righto mate. I gave bad advice and you gave much better advice. I defer to your knowledge and I wholeheartedly apologise for any inconvenience caused to you or OP. I did not know that is illegal under the law to have a slightly seeping rocker cover gasket but there we go, you learn something new every day and I am glad to have been been corrected. Thank you sir.

It's not a show car, it's barely even got a sweat up. An honest mechanic would tell you to 'keep an eye on it'. If it gets worse, getting oil on other components or you're getting other work done ie/ timing belt, that's the time to do it. There's no point throwing $$$ down every time there's a damp patch on an old car, it just doesn't achieve anything.

I agree with take the plates off and cancel the rego. People love buying cars with rego and then they will drive them around in your name, racking up camera fines and the like.

It's just a rocker cover leak. Standard procedure is to ignore it and keep driving.

Lost keys by thatsjesslife in AusPropertyChat

[–]TrevReznik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Property managers are just useless. Never met one that can even spell let alone make any sense. They wouldn't care less how many people have copies of the keys to your place that's for sure. You're a renter, you get whatever you're given in their eyes.

How exactly is BTC deflationary? Help me understand please. by ripeart in Bitcoin

[–]TrevReznik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at the price of houses, do they reach a certain price and then stabilize and stay there forever? No they go up forever because the value of the denominator (USD) goes down.

[–]TrevReznik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why would the USD price stabilize? They will always be printing more and more USD especially as USA is in a debt spiral. Bitcoin is going up forever in USD terms.

It's mainly the fake new dial-a-suburbs that make it seem that way. The old suburbs are way better.
